00:45 --> 00:46 [SPEAKER_00]: at Marine Lair pod.
00:47 --> 00:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's get it rolling.
01:02 --> 01:22 [SPEAKER_01]: And we welcome you to this episode of the Marine Lair podcast part of the just baseball podcast network recording here on Friday evening October 17th Lawn I just got home from Game 5 of the American League Championship series and oh my god, I'm gonna make a proclamation
01:22 --> 01:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Game 5 of the American League Championship series was the best win in Mariners franchise history and that grand slam by A.O.
01:29 --> 01:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Neoswaras was the greatest hit in Mariners franchise history.
01:35 --> 01:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Am I out of line?
01:38 --> 01:46 [SPEAKER_00]: Not only are you not out of line, I would say all that is pretty much
01:46 --> 01:50 [SPEAKER_00]: You can tell our voices are in great shape for being at the game.
01:50 --> 02:14 [SPEAKER_00]: They really are there's a lot of stress going on that I mean there's gonna be a lot of voice cracks on this show the Mariners have never been this close to a world series This team is never one three games in a championship series ever So yes, that's the biggest win ever because there's never been a magnitude of a win bigger than this and for AUSWARAS again to the magnitude of the hit
02:15 --> 02:18 [SPEAKER_00]: Edgar's double was in the quarterfinals.
02:18 --> 02:19 [SPEAKER_00]: It was in the divisional series.
02:20 --> 02:30 [SPEAKER_00]: This puts them one win from the world series and it was a grand slam in the eighth inning in a tie game.
02:30 --> 02:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the double was sick, but it wasn't a grand slam.
02:34 --> 02:36 [SPEAKER_00]: That was a grand slam.
02:38 --> 02:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Inarguably, the biggest hit in franchise history and inarguably, as we record tonight,
02:45 --> 02:48 [SPEAKER_00]: For guy who we thought couldn't hit, he looked lost.
02:49 --> 02:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he looked dead in the water, most of this postseason.
02:52 --> 02:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, and even the hit he got his teammate got thrown at a third base of the game before.
02:57 --> 03:01 [SPEAKER_01]: We should have known when he got it started earlier in the game, and he knocks that home run.
03:02 --> 03:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, maybe something special isn't store for Gino tonight.
03:05 --> 03:08 [SPEAKER_01]: And I want to think about how he feels.
03:08 --> 03:12 [SPEAKER_01]: He's talking about it after the game, how emotional he is about this moment.
03:12 --> 03:14 [SPEAKER_01]: He's brought to the city, a city that he talks about so much.
03:15 --> 03:21 [SPEAKER_01]: How much he cares about winning for the Mariners and how much he's really enjoyed this chapter of his career.
03:21 --> 03:28 [SPEAKER_01]: And in the biggest moment of his career, the biggest, he steps up to the plate.
03:28 --> 03:34 [SPEAKER_01]: We're just trying to get a ball and play and he hits it into the stands.
03:34 --> 03:36 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god!
03:36 --> 03:36 [SPEAKER_00]: Oppo!
03:39 --> 03:43 [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, if you have not seen it... Oh my god!
03:43 --> 03:51 [SPEAKER_00]: You guys have to go check out the wide center field camp view of this grand slam because they capture all three runners on base.
03:52 --> 03:52 [SPEAKER_00]: It is so cool.
03:52 --> 03:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Nailers on second base and I think he has a pretty decent idea when it leaves Gino's bat.
03:57 --> 03:59 [SPEAKER_00]: But it's got a chance to go because
03:59 --> 04:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, gets his lead, balls hitting the air.
04:02 --> 04:06 [SPEAKER_00]: He starts to tag back to second base and run back to second base in case he needs to tag up.
04:06 --> 04:09 [SPEAKER_00]: But his hands are already in the air and he's watching and he's watching.
04:09 --> 04:17 [SPEAKER_00]: And then clearly once he sees it leave the yard, I mean, Josh Nailer's got his hands in the air and he's jumping up and down and he can't believe it.
04:17 --> 04:18 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these two have been teammates all year.
04:19 --> 04:23 [SPEAKER_00]: They were only a part for about a week, six days.
04:23 --> 04:26 [SPEAKER_00]: During the trade deadline, these guys have been through it together this year.
04:27 --> 04:28 [SPEAKER_00]: They've played together all of your clearly.
04:28 --> 04:30 [SPEAKER_00]: These guys are friends and they care about each other.
04:30 --> 04:32 [SPEAKER_00]: And the two of them talked about it when they got traded over here.
04:33 --> 04:37 [SPEAKER_00]: And Gino's fired up, nailers fired up.
04:37 --> 04:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's fired up.
04:39 --> 04:48 [SPEAKER_00]: But to see the all kind of captioning view at that home run, it reminds me a little bit of when they show every player's reaction to the final out of a world series.
04:48 --> 04:50 [SPEAKER_00]: They go to every different position for the final out.
04:50 --> 04:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Wasn't quite that, but you got that a little bit with that wide cam shot and see a nailer do what he did and react the way he did.
04:57 --> 05:01 [SPEAKER_00]: And God, it was so cool, it was so cool.
05:01 --> 05:06 [SPEAKER_00]: I couldn't even go 100%ile screaming, even though I've lost my voice by this point.
05:06 --> 05:09 [SPEAKER_00]: because I was so utterly shocked.
05:09 --> 05:11 [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I was in shock.
05:12 --> 05:24 [SPEAKER_00]: I could not believe what we were watching between, again, the way Gino's played in the post season and the moment that they're in and just asking for a fly ball and a sack fly.
05:24 --> 05:26 [SPEAKER_00]: and then to see that happen.
05:26 --> 05:30 [SPEAKER_00]: And moments like that don't happen for the Seattle Mariners.
05:30 --> 05:33 [SPEAKER_00]: And that just happened, that just happened.
05:34 --> 05:36 [SPEAKER_00]: I was in legitimate disbelief.
05:37 --> 05:39 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, TJ, TJ has hands in his face.
05:39 --> 05:40 [SPEAKER_00]: He really wasn't disciplined.
05:40 --> 05:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I didn't even cheer.
05:41 --> 05:43 [SPEAKER_01]: No, everyone else around me jumped.
05:44 --> 05:45 [SPEAKER_01]: I sat down and did this.
05:47 --> 05:50 [SPEAKER_01]: I put my head into my hands and sat down.
05:50 --> 05:52 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not cried yet.
05:53 --> 05:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Full transparency, we're in the trustee here.
05:55 --> 05:57 [SPEAKER_01]: All of us here on the Marine Lair podcast, Lyle.
05:58 --> 06:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Myself, all of you beautiful listeners and watchers on YouTube.
06:02 --> 06:03 [SPEAKER_01]: We're all in the trustee here.
06:04 --> 06:08 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm my cry when the, if the Mariners clinch a world series birth, sun near Monday.
06:08 --> 06:10 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm my, like...
06:11 --> 06:13 [SPEAKER_01]: They have never done this.
06:13 --> 06:23 [SPEAKER_01]: So when Gino hit that ball and the realization sets in that the Seattle Mariners had hit like that and that A.O.N.O.S.
06:23 --> 06:30 [SPEAKER_01]: War has came through in such a clutch situation where the two nights prior the Mariners gave us nothing.
06:31 --> 06:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that I think that made it even better.
06:34 --> 06:38 [SPEAKER_01]: The Mariners, the two previous nights in games three and four of the A.L.C.S.
06:39 --> 06:42 [SPEAKER_01]: made it seem like they were going to pull another Mariners on us.
06:43 --> 06:52 [SPEAKER_01]: That they were going to let us down and everyone had every reason to go in this offseason and pitch and complain about the team that just never can get it done.
06:54 --> 06:58 [SPEAKER_01]: And then they get it done in the grandest fashion possible.
06:59 --> 07:01 [SPEAKER_01]: That's the shit you dream up in your backyard.
07:02 --> 07:07 [SPEAKER_01]: When you're a kid, Gino probably dreamed about that when he was trying to go play baseball.
07:07 --> 07:12 [SPEAKER_01]: And then, think about the ride for Gino at Tupte to get to this point.
07:12 --> 07:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Since Cincinnati has his own first 49 homer season, really one of the most productive run scores, RBI guys in baseball, home runs, RBI's, slog, et cetera.
07:24 --> 07:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Then he slumps, reds aren't huge fans of him anymore.
07:32 --> 07:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much, time in with Jesse Winker, trading in the Mariners.
07:35 --> 07:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Reserex is career in Seattle.
07:39 --> 07:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Gino gets dumped again two years later.
07:41 --> 07:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Mariners salary dump him, Tara Zona.
07:44 --> 07:49 [SPEAKER_01]: And Gino, midway through that next season, looked like he was about to get caught.
07:49 --> 07:51 [SPEAKER_01]: He's bad, he's one of the worst players in baseball.
07:52 --> 08:06 [SPEAKER_01]: But manages to turn himself around to have a great second half, and then makes himself the most valuable commodity possible at the deadline this year, and of all the team that could have used AO annual swars as services, all of them.
08:06 --> 08:08 [SPEAKER_01]: He comes back to the place I think he loved the most.
08:09 --> 08:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Out of all places, the Seattle Mariners, the ones that he probably wanted to go to the most, and he gets traded there, and then he gets to the post season.
08:20 --> 08:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Accounting achievement something that you wanted to do and wanted to do more than what he did the first time in the post season Get to this big stage and then start struggling and You think it's got a way on genome every time he steps the plate and strikes out Strikes out pops up grounds out to the picture.
08:45 --> 08:48 [SPEAKER_01]: It's like oh no I didn't come all this way to do this
08:50 --> 08:51 [SPEAKER_01]: And then he hits that swing.
08:52 --> 08:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Those two swings today.
08:54 --> 08:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Five of the six runs, the Mariners scored.
08:57 --> 09:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Imagine the emotional release from a player that just went on that roller coaster I just described.
09:04 --> 09:08 [SPEAKER_01]: To get to this moment and have your team on the doorstep of the world series.
09:11 --> 09:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Poetic.
09:12 --> 09:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Poetic?
09:14 --> 09:15 [SPEAKER_00]: How else can you describe it?
09:16 --> 09:19 [SPEAKER_00]: It's the it's the Billy being quote all in one right there.
09:19 --> 09:24 [SPEAKER_00]: How can you not be romantic about baseball?
09:24 --> 09:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Has it said him for you yet?
09:27 --> 09:28 [SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
09:29 --> 09:32 [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's set in that one more win.
09:32 --> 09:37 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even want to say the words, but one more win takes him to uncharted territory.
09:39 --> 09:43 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to get too ahead of ourselves yet, because they do still need to win, and those two games will be in Toronto.
09:43 --> 09:52 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about that a little bit more in the later stages of this podcast, but I don't think it'll set until tomorrow.
09:52 --> 09:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I think I need to sleep.
09:54 --> 09:55 [SPEAKER_01]: I think my voice needs to rest a little bit.
09:56 --> 10:00 [SPEAKER_01]: I think the adrenaline needs to get out of my body a little bit.
10:00 --> 10:07 [SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, you know what, I'm glad they have an off day on Saturday, because people
10:07 --> 10:14 [SPEAKER_00]: absolutely deserve and should enjoy the day and a half of nostalgia that you are going to get from this.
10:14 --> 10:18 [SPEAKER_00]: Now Sunday, it's going to be nerves all over again and people are going to be sweating it out.
10:18 --> 10:23 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll certainly be sweating it out more than ever before due to what's going to be at stake.
10:25 --> 10:25 [SPEAKER_00]: But
10:27 --> 10:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Enjoy this we did we would celebrate out at the bars tonight So we're getting this podcast out a little late.
10:33 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_00]: We tweeted out.
10:33 --> 10:52 [SPEAKER_00]: We posted on our Instagram story saying hey guys I know we're getting this podcast out a little bit late, but we were at the game and the Mariners just won the biggest game in franchise history Like we'd like to go out and celebrate it a little bit and all you guys were very very nice in the comments They're like yeah, of course go enjoy it like go enjoy except for the one dude who said my drink was fake, but that's fine Well, that's fine.
10:52 --> 10:54 [SPEAKER_01]: I won't take it personally, buddy.
10:54 --> 10:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone has their tastes
10:55 --> 10:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Buddy, we went there as on a state.
10:57 --> 10:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Come on.
10:58 --> 11:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I've triggered everything you could imagine.
11:00 --> 11:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Trust me.
11:00 --> 11:04 [SPEAKER_01]: What I was, what I was drinking there was not was not was not fake at all.
11:05 --> 11:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
11:05 --> 11:10 [SPEAKER_01]: I'd love, I'd love to get to some more takeaways from today or experience at the game.
11:11 --> 11:16 [SPEAKER_01]: This game five, the turnaround that this team underwent here, but before that, let's take a pause for an ad.

12:34 --> 12:36 [SPEAKER_01]: The links are in the description.
12:38 --> 12:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, wow, what was your other biggest takeaway from today?
12:45 --> 12:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's a couple, but I feel like while we're on the topic of genome, we should just give everybody credit in that eighth inning and just go through it for a minute.
12:57 --> 12:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Number one.
12:58 --> 13:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Shadow, Cal Raleigh, one for sending that ball into orbit, but also, you know, it was really nice for some luck to finally go the Mariners way, because that ball was not hit hard, it was a loopy pop fly that just kept going and going and going and it just got out.
13:19 --> 13:22 [SPEAKER_00]: That home run was less than 340 feet.
13:23 --> 13:28 [SPEAKER_00]: but you know what the Mariners needed a break in this series and in this home stretch that they've had in the last three days.
13:29 --> 13:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Calarale doing that was a break.
13:32 --> 13:35 [SPEAKER_00]: Let me pull up the XBA on that because I can help.
13:35 --> 13:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I remember it on the top of my head because we were talking about it in the stands.
13:38 --> 13:43 [SPEAKER_01]: I believe it was 470 home runs in half the ball parks and baseball.
13:43 --> 13:48 [SPEAKER_01]: So that ball is either an out or a homer pretty much wherever it is.
13:48 --> 13:51 [SPEAKER_00]: You're right, 470xBA, which is actually decently high.
13:51 --> 13:52 [SPEAKER_00]: It's higher than I thought it was going to be.
13:52 --> 13:54 [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was going to be something like 100, but no.
13:55 --> 13:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's because it's home runs in half the parks and baseball.
13:58 --> 13:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
13:58 --> 14:00 [SPEAKER_01]: 14.
14:00 --> 14:01 [SPEAKER_01]: It's 30.
14:01 --> 14:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
14:02 --> 14:06 [SPEAKER_01]: Roughly, which lines up is, again, it's essentially an out or a home run.
14:07 --> 14:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
14:07 --> 14:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Wherever it is.
14:09 --> 14:12 [SPEAKER_00]: For anybody curious, that would have been a home run in Toronto also.
14:12 --> 14:13 [SPEAKER_00]: So.
14:14 --> 14:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
14:15 --> 14:16 [SPEAKER_00]: Cal does that.
14:16 --> 14:23 [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I can I can I jump in here kind of I've been here before you you get on that The importance of that home run.
14:23 --> 14:28 [SPEAKER_01]: I think is understated a little bit because what if Geno hits a sack fly on the mayor's one three to two?
14:28 --> 14:29 [SPEAKER_01]: What are people talking about the most today?
14:30 --> 14:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Geno sack fly or cows game tying Homer?
14:34 --> 14:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's go yeah
14:36 --> 14:46 [SPEAKER_01]: But no one's it's always going to be remembered if the Mariners go on and make the world serious here, it's going to be remembered as the home run before Gino's biggest hit franchise history.
14:48 --> 14:50 [SPEAKER_00]: And you know who could not care less about that.
14:51 --> 14:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Cal Cal.
14:52 --> 14:53 [SPEAKER_00]: He could not care less.
14:54 --> 15:00 [SPEAKER_00]: He is I'm sure thrilled he hit the home run and he's thrilled he helped the team tie up the game and he's thrilled he helped the team win.
15:01 --> 15:03 [SPEAKER_00]: I think Cal is more than happy to say, you know what?
15:04 --> 15:11 [SPEAKER_00]: People can forget about that home run all they want because Gino just had a grand slam to send us a game away from you know where.
15:11 --> 15:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
15:12 --> 15:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, to continue with the inning.
15:15 --> 15:17 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean shout out to all these guys, man.
15:17 --> 15:24 [SPEAKER_00]: So Cal hits the home run to lead off the inning once Brendan Little started the bottom of the eighth and replaced Louis Varland, who Louis Varland took a good series.
15:25 --> 15:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Today, he went knitting in a third score list again.
15:28 --> 15:28 [SPEAKER_00]: He's been good.
15:29 --> 15:31 [SPEAKER_00]: But, you know who has not a good series.
15:33 --> 15:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Right in little.
15:33 --> 15:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Brennan little, oh my god.
15:35 --> 15:44 [SPEAKER_01]: If you need a, if you need a pulse check on the Blue Jays fans, Johnny June to bet some pretty clear thoughts on Brennan little in that decision.
15:44 --> 15:51 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think on the other side of the aisle, Blue Jays fans are gonna be very happy with John Schneider about how they manage this game.
15:51 --> 15:53 [SPEAKER_01]: It's specifically managed that eighth inning.
15:53 --> 15:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, our friends over at gate 14, just scrolling on their Twitter.
15:57 --> 15:59 [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't gone to listen to the post game podcast yet.
15:59 --> 16:01 [SPEAKER_00]: They did not look like happy campers.
16:01 --> 16:03 [SPEAKER_00]: Do you can imagine after that evening?
16:05 --> 16:05 [SPEAKER_01]: No.
16:05 --> 16:16 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, Avery, the other half of the gate 14 pod, when you don't hit that grand slam, he tweeted a picture of a man straight up pointing a bazooka at his mouth.
16:21 --> 16:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Not all is great in the six.
16:24 --> 16:24 [SPEAKER_00]: No.
16:24 --> 16:27 [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, the evening after Calhitz the Homer.
16:28 --> 16:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Jorge Blanco, who did not have a great day in his own right.
16:31 --> 16:34 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he had a tough couple of abats.
16:34 --> 16:38 [SPEAKER_00]: It looked like, look, we're sitting way up in the third deck on the third baseline of the 300 level.
16:38 --> 16:40 [SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to know for sure.
16:40 --> 16:44 [SPEAKER_00]: But just from what we were watching, he looked like he wasn't seeing the ball great today.
16:44 --> 16:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Look like his abats just weren't as good as they were earlier in the series.
16:48 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_00]: But you know what?
16:52 --> 17:03 [SPEAKER_00]: After Cal hits the home run, he doesn't let the momentum go by the wayside, or hey, Polago doesn't sit there and say, all right, we tied up the game with a solo shot, rest of the ending is going to just be one, two, three.
17:04 --> 17:08 [SPEAKER_00]: No, dr walk, grind it out of good at bat, put himself on base.
17:09 --> 17:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Naylor follows him.
17:11 --> 17:12 [SPEAKER_00]: He gets a two a full count.
17:13 --> 17:15 [SPEAKER_00]: He draws a walk.
17:15 --> 17:20 [SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, for his good of a game, his Naylor hadn't game forward despite the loss.
17:20 --> 17:22 [SPEAKER_00]: His game today was fine up until that.
17:22 --> 17:23 [SPEAKER_00]: He was one for three.
17:23 --> 17:25 [SPEAKER_00]: He had that single LF field earlier in the game.
17:26 --> 17:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Grines out the abat, works the count full, doesn't chase, draws the walk.
17:32 --> 17:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Now it's first and second nobody out.
17:35 --> 17:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Then Randy Arrows Arena comes up.
17:37 --> 17:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Another guy who's similar to Gino, man is he had a tough postseason.
17:40 --> 17:41 [SPEAKER_00]: There's no denying it.
17:43 --> 17:44 [SPEAKER_00]: But he works the count to two and one.
17:45 --> 17:48 [SPEAKER_00]: He's not flying out and chasing anything crazy.
17:49 --> 17:51 [SPEAKER_00]: And then he wears it gets hit by the pitch.
17:52 --> 17:55 [SPEAKER_00]: He loads the bases in that inning.
17:55 --> 18:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Despite the offense looking dead in the water for 25 innings of this three-game homestretch in the ALCS, they grinded out those abats in the eighth inning.
18:08 --> 18:12 [SPEAKER_00]: After Calhett the Homer, those guys did not let that in and go by the wayside.
18:12 --> 18:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Walk, walk.
18:14 --> 18:22 [SPEAKER_00]: hit by pitch discipline didn't get away from himself, load the bases, all of the set it up for genome.
18:22 --> 18:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:24 --> 18:29 [SPEAKER_00]: So look, none of those three guys are going to be in the headlines for this game, but they all deserve credit.
18:30 --> 18:33 [SPEAKER_00]: They grind it out some good at bats in that eighth inning and set it up.
18:34 --> 18:40 [SPEAKER_01]: It was a team effort in the eighth inning, just like it was a team effort for why the Mariners have been so bad offensively the previous two games.
18:41 --> 18:50 [SPEAKER_01]: I think everyone who's listening to this understands the mental mindset of how all of us felt heading into that eighth inning.
18:50 --> 18:58 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Lion, I once the Blue Jays took that lead, that two-one lead, we were not feeling very good.
18:58 --> 19:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Because we had just watched two games and change of the Mariners offense poking some soul of the whole runs and not much else.
19:08 --> 19:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, while the pitching folded, now the difference with this game is the Mariners pitching kept them squarely in the game.
19:15 --> 19:17 [SPEAKER_01]: So you had an opportunity late in the game and this was it.
19:17 --> 19:23 [SPEAKER_01]: This was the only chance the middle of the order was going to get in this game to go out there and win it.
19:23 --> 19:25 [SPEAKER_01]: So it was, it was then or nothing.
19:27 --> 19:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll tell you what, Lyle, when Cal hit that ball into the air, like I sat down again to put my hand in my head.
19:33 --> 19:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Because I was like, oh, that's Cal's last chance at home.
19:40 --> 19:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Let the y'all hurt.
19:42 --> 19:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, you thought he flew out.
19:43 --> 19:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I did and then it kept going and going and I'm like And I was just looking at the fans around and once everyone started y'all has that call But it's a team effort team effort netting.
19:53 --> 20:07 [SPEAKER_01]: I was exactly what they need not when things things don't necessarily all have to be going right at the same time But in baseball you can Loop a few good things together that can be the difference between winning and losing and that's exactly what they did in the eight-thending tonight
20:07 --> 20:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it doesn't matter how bad the offense was early in the game.
20:10 --> 20:24 [SPEAKER_01]: What mattered because they won those two games in Dorano That they came through in a big inning and Got big hits and that is exactly what they did and yes, you can think the blue jays for making bad pitching decisions with their bullpen Which is not good.
20:24 --> 20:30 [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know how many people are really that surprised the blue jays bullpen coughed up a lead but
20:30 --> 20:53 [SPEAKER_01]: team effort jino's gonna get all the starlight he should it is going to be something if the mariner's ever build a new ballpark or maybe they'll just build it into team mobile ballpark the mariner's win a world series or even just make the world series that jino swing that maybe moment with him at home plate is going to be etched in history
20:53 --> 20:56 [SPEAKER_00]: So we've already, oh my god, got it, it's hard to talk.
20:56 --> 21:01 [SPEAKER_00]: We've already started to create some chapters of this Mariners World Series DVD.
21:01 --> 21:03 [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about it if they're in it and they win it.
21:04 --> 21:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Leo Rivas is gonna be as huge part of it because that hit and game five of the ALDS.
21:09 --> 21:14 [SPEAKER_00]: So the chapters of it right now, I mean, Cal's entire regular season, obviously.
21:16 --> 21:17 [SPEAKER_00]: Leo Rivas and game five,
21:17 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_00]: beating Terriq school four times in a year and twice in the ALDS.
21:21 --> 21:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Pelonco's walk off in the 15th in the ALDS.
21:25 --> 21:27 [SPEAKER_00]: You can etch Geno's name into this.
21:28 --> 21:29 [SPEAKER_00]: That's another chapter.
21:29 --> 21:31 [SPEAKER_00]: I was going to be a big one if they win this thing.
21:32 --> 21:34 [SPEAKER_01]: We got plenty of room for more chapters.
21:34 --> 21:36 [SPEAKER_01]: There's more games to be played now.
21:36 --> 21:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing.
21:37 --> 21:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the exciting part.
21:39 --> 21:41 [SPEAKER_00]: As we said, you're recording ALDS for us.
21:41 --> 21:42 [SPEAKER_00]: That's the biggest hit in Mariners history.
21:43 --> 21:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that only stay true for 48 hours.
21:47 --> 22:14 [SPEAKER_01]: I hope so it really only matters though if they win remember right I mean if Gino has this grand slam but the mariners get blasted for two games in Toronto people remember the grand slam but not as much not as much so that's why we say at this moment that is the biggest hit in mariners history how good was it to see Brian move back out there
22:15 --> 22:16 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, good.
22:17 --> 22:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Look, I know he gave up a run so good to see him back.
22:22 --> 22:24 [SPEAKER_00]: You guys know he's my favorite picture in the rotation to watch.
22:24 --> 22:26 [SPEAKER_00]: He's been the best arm on the team all year.
22:27 --> 22:36 [SPEAKER_00]: And to see him come out to the fire, blowing massive ovation, the woo by pop smoke, blasting in the stadium.
22:37 --> 22:45 [SPEAKER_00]: He's fired up, so great, so great.
22:45 --> 22:48 [SPEAKER_00]: But like he did a job for the most part.
22:49 --> 22:50 [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like he got blasted.
22:50 --> 22:51 [SPEAKER_00]: He kept him in the game.
22:51 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_00]: He, again, like he gave up the double and then a single in that first inning.
22:57 --> 22:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Otherwise, pretty efficient.
23:00 --> 23:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't look like he was overwhelmed.
23:02 --> 23:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Mariners pitching for the most part, you know, did there actually, sorry, the most part the Mariners pitching did do their job tonight What doesn't always clean?
23:09 --> 23:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Blue J said plenty of traffic.
23:10 --> 23:29 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, my biggest beef throughout the first seven innings of the game Is that the Blue J said all the pressure on Mariners pitchers will run or so on Mariners had none of that on Blue J's pitchers, but the difference is Blue J said bases loaded with no one out ruling the game Against Bryce Miller Did they score?
23:29 --> 23:31 [SPEAKER_01]: They did not.
23:31 --> 23:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Mariners get bases loaded.
23:32 --> 23:32 [SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
23:33 --> 23:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Grandslet.
23:35 --> 23:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
23:35 --> 23:36 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the different.
23:36 --> 23:40 [SPEAKER_01]: That's that right there is a difference in the fucking game right there.
23:40 --> 23:44 [SPEAKER_01]: And that's credits to the Mariners pitchers for coming through an executing.
23:44 --> 23:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's go picture by picture for me at least.
23:47 --> 23:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, Bryce Miller did his job.
23:48 --> 23:50 [SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what I thought he was going to do.
23:50 --> 23:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Didn't think he was going six like he did in game one.
23:54 --> 23:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Big part of the big reason why he went six in game one is because the Mariners had an
24:00 --> 24:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Gabe Spire was next.
24:02 --> 24:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Gabe said an okay post season again for the most part did his job.
24:09 --> 24:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Brian Wu did his job and then Mooney comes in and was great my missing one now four guys that I
24:20 --> 24:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Can I look, the BlueJace had some moments that kind of frustrated me offensively, but the most important thing for Mariners' pictures was that they gave up two runs on seven hits, which is, last I checked, less than six runs, and based on what I watched the previous two nights, a massive improvement.
24:46 --> 24:49 [SPEAKER_01]: If we're going to say, I forgot, I forgot.
24:49 --> 24:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Brash as well.
24:50 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_01]: I am Brash.
24:50 --> 24:51 [SPEAKER_01]: I think you said, I think you said, Brash.
24:53 --> 24:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I said, Spire.
24:54 --> 24:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, Spire.
24:54 --> 24:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Spire came in after Brian will.
24:56 --> 24:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
24:58 --> 25:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Brash, again, in the moment, I was a little frustrated with Matt, because Bryce gave up a lead off base runner in the top of the fifth inning gets pulled.
25:08 --> 25:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Brash comes in and lets that runner score.
25:11 --> 25:16 [SPEAKER_01]: And as I turned to you and said, we were getting frustrated with how that run scored.
25:16 --> 25:19 [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, it's Matt Brash was job to get guys out.
25:19 --> 25:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't care how good he is.
25:20 --> 25:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Because Matt Brash was supposed to be one of the 10 best relief preachers in Major League Baseball.
25:24 --> 25:25 [SPEAKER_01]: You're supposed to get that guy out.
25:26 --> 25:27 [SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately, he didn't matter at the end of the game.
25:30 --> 25:34 [SPEAKER_00]: I probably would have thought about, well, I guess it doesn't matter at this point.
25:34 --> 25:36 [SPEAKER_00]: At the time, I thought about, do you put springer on there?
25:37 --> 25:41 [SPEAKER_00]: But then you would have had to pitch to, well, I guess you pitch the bloody anyway.
25:41 --> 25:44 [SPEAKER_00]: You could have thought about putting his figure on there, but you're right.
25:44 --> 25:45 [SPEAKER_00]: In the end, it doesn't matter.
25:45 --> 25:50 [SPEAKER_00]: And to Bradshaw's credit, again, he did not let that inning become a Kirk a number.
25:50 --> 25:51 [SPEAKER_00]: He punched out Lattie.
25:52 --> 25:53 [SPEAKER_00]: That was a big moment in the game.
25:54 --> 25:55 [SPEAKER_00]: That'll get forgotten about, too.
25:55 --> 26:02 [SPEAKER_00]: Lattie has torched everybody, all postseason, and Matt kept him in check there.
26:03 --> 26:04 [SPEAKER_01]: And the Mariners know that now.
26:05 --> 26:07 [SPEAKER_01]: He got intentionally walked twice.
26:07 --> 26:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, after that first inning double the day, the bike, all right, we've had enough of this.
26:10 --> 26:11 [SPEAKER_00]: We're done.
26:11 --> 26:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I think every moment for the rest of the series if he comes up in any semblance of a big spot first place is opening to get in the base.
26:18 --> 26:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, it doesn't matter.
26:21 --> 26:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Unless Mooney's throwing.
26:22 --> 26:32 [SPEAKER_00]: I think I thought if I saw it right, I think I saw a bloody point to the Mariners dug out, just go like this as if, all right, you're respecting me.
26:32 --> 26:33 [SPEAKER_00]: I see you.
26:34 --> 26:34 [SPEAKER_01]: as they should.
26:35 --> 26:38 [SPEAKER_01]: I respect Floddy enough to want to win the game and not let him beat them.
26:38 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Beat the Mariners.
26:41 --> 26:41 [UNKNOWN]: Yeah?
26:41 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
26:43 --> 26:43 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
26:43 --> 26:47 [SPEAKER_00]: If we're going to do some nostalgia here, like we've already done in this podcast, can I do one more piece in nostalgia?
26:48 --> 26:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
26:50 --> 26:53 [SPEAKER_00]: If we're going to do one more piece in nostalgia here, let's do it.
26:55 --> 27:03 [SPEAKER_00]: On the pitching side, two best friends combined together to anchor the Mariners to the biggest win in franchise history.
27:03 --> 27:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Bryce Miller and Brian will come from two totally different backgrounds.
27:08 --> 27:14 [SPEAKER_00]: You've got a Texas kid, nicknamed BigTax, where's cowboy boots?
27:17 --> 27:23 [SPEAKER_00]: Like, very, you know, Southern lifestyle as he grew up, it was never near a big city.
27:23 --> 27:32 [SPEAKER_00]: And then you get the slaggy Bay Area kid known for his aura.
27:33 --> 27:36 [SPEAKER_00]: You know, to totally opposite backgrounds.
27:37 --> 27:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Texas kid, Bay Area kid, not a ton in coming, growing up, but then they get drafted in the same class, two rounds apart.
27:45 --> 27:48 [SPEAKER_00]: They go through every stop of the minor leagues together.
27:48 --> 27:50 [SPEAKER_00]: They're incredibly good friends.
27:50 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_00]: They get up to the big leagues within a few weeks of each other.
27:53 --> 27:54 [SPEAKER_00]: They are,
27:54 --> 28:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Almost in lockstep so much of the time when you see him around the ballpark and you see him during pre-game warm-ups, you know the two are almost inseparable, you know the two are extremely close to the point where we've gotten to know Brian Wu's parents a little bit over the last couple of years, who are incredibly nice by the way.
28:12 --> 28:13 [SPEAKER_00]: And I remember earlier in this year,
28:15 --> 28:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Earlier in 2025, they were at a start of Brian's and they said, hey, we're staying for the weekend.
28:20 --> 28:22 [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to watch Brian pitch this on Saturday.
28:22 --> 28:24 [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to stay for Bryce's start on Sunday.
28:24 --> 28:26 [SPEAKER_00]: I said, oh, that's nice of you guys.
28:26 --> 28:27 [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to stay and watch Bryce pitch.
28:28 --> 28:31 [SPEAKER_00]: And Brian's mom said, prices family to us.
28:31 --> 28:32 [SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty cool.
28:33 --> 28:38 [SPEAKER_00]: You, again, it's pretty well documented that these two are really close.
28:38 --> 28:49 [SPEAKER_00]: But to hear his mom just magnify it to that level, where it's to the point that the families are that close and the families are that tied in, that these two have been through it together, since they got drafted.
28:49 --> 28:56 [SPEAKER_00]: And look, unfortunately, Brian Lou was in a spot where he couldn't start an entire game.
28:56 --> 28:57 [SPEAKER_00]: So what does he do instead?
28:58 --> 29:11 [SPEAKER_00]: The only time they're ever on the field together at the same time, they combine forces to go six innings of two run ball and put the Mariners in a position to win the biggest game in the history of the franchise.
29:12 --> 29:24 [SPEAKER_00]: To totally different backgrounds, totally different colleges, one small school, one big school, come up together and then combine to do that for their city, for their franchise, for their ball club.
29:25 --> 29:27 [SPEAKER_00]: and put them all went away from the world series.
29:27 --> 29:28 [SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty cool.
29:29 --> 29:32 [SPEAKER_01]: That is, that's a pretty cool story.
29:33 --> 29:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that does kind of highlight the Mariners roster.
29:35 --> 29:40 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, most major league rosters are a mix, but like the Mariners roster really truly is a mix.
29:40 --> 29:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Right, think about the starting rotation.
29:42 --> 29:43 [SPEAKER_01]: You have.
29:43 --> 30:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Luis Castillo from the Dominican Republic Logan's from Florida New York, Kirby's from New York, Bryce's from Texas, Brian Moose from the Bay Right, literally that is a mixing pot of America right there Yeah, and one more total difference between these two Bryce Miller's a total jokester, laid back, loose Jokester round with everybody He's got nicknames for Brian like awoo and Leonardo de Wuski and all these things
30:14 --> 30:24 [SPEAKER_00]: and Brian, pretty intense, very locked in, not the Bryce isn't serious about his work, of course he is, but Brian's demeanor is a little bit different than Bryce's.
30:26 --> 30:30 [SPEAKER_00]: Those two are extremely close friends, and they just did this thing together today.
30:31 --> 30:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sick, pretty, pretty cool.
30:33 --> 30:35 [SPEAKER_01]: So many good storylines from this game.
30:35 --> 30:37 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I love this.
30:37 --> 30:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Same.
30:38 --> 30:41 [SPEAKER_00]: Because all we've known throughout our whole lives is talking about the,
30:42 --> 30:47 [SPEAKER_00]: feeble rosters of Jose V. Draw and God knows who I was a Marmalios.
30:48 --> 30:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's later.
30:49 --> 30:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about what we're kids.
30:52 --> 30:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I guess he bet in court.
30:54 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you need V. Draw, Jack cost.
30:58 --> 31:00 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no, this roster and these.
31:00 --> 31:03 [SPEAKER_00]: Jason Bay Jason Bay, yeah, this ain't that.
31:04 --> 31:05 [SPEAKER_00]: No, this ain't that.
31:05 --> 31:07 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a real baseball team.
31:07 --> 31:11 [SPEAKER_01]: A real baseball team that is one one away from the world series.
31:13 --> 31:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Let that set in, one, when away from the world's series, one, one, one, crazy, that's insane.
31:27 --> 31:28 [SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me do a quick read here.
31:28 --> 31:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk to you guys about our friends over at Pagaches Pub85.
31:31 --> 31:32 [SPEAKER_00]: It's over in Kirkland.
31:33 --> 31:34 [SPEAKER_00]: Awesome spot to go hang out.

31:39 --> 31:40 [SPEAKER_00]: If you want to watch a bunch of sports.
31:41 --> 31:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Awesome spot.
31:42 --> 31:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Awesome neighborhood bar over in Kirkland.

31:57 --> 31:58 [SPEAKER_00]: that's over in Kirkland.
31:58 --> 31:59 [SPEAKER_00]: We know you'll enjoy it.
32:00 --> 32:10 [SPEAKER_01]: I have one thing we actually forgot to talk about earlier in the episode, which I think is again going to go go down as something that is hidden behind Gino's grand slam.
32:11 --> 32:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Randy's catch at the top of the eighth inning at the wall.
32:15 --> 32:17 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know if that would have been a home run.
32:17 --> 32:18 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
32:19 --> 32:20 [SPEAKER_01]: It was close.
32:20 --> 32:21 [SPEAKER_01]: It would have at least been a double.
32:22 --> 32:26 [SPEAKER_01]: If not more, if like Randy jumps for it, he misses it and the ball gets away from him.
32:26 --> 32:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe could have been triple.
32:28 --> 32:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Could have swung the game.
32:29 --> 32:30 [SPEAKER_01]: Could have kick started.
32:30 --> 32:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Another Blue J's crooked number inning.
32:33 --> 32:35 [SPEAKER_01]: But Randy and Sid goes back and makes the catch him.
32:35 --> 32:37 [SPEAKER_01]: People complained a lot.
32:37 --> 32:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Us included about Randy's defense this season, especially in the playoffs at times.
32:42 --> 32:50 [SPEAKER_01]: But he made a heck of a catch on that ball, really, really underrated part of the Mariners being successful tonight.
32:50 --> 32:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Because they had a defensive misqueal on that RBI single earlier in the game where Dom can zone misfires the ball to home gives up a free base, doesn't help himself at all.
32:59 --> 33:05 [SPEAKER_01]: But Randy makes up for it with that catch, which was I think like just so great in this game.
33:05 --> 33:06 [SPEAKER_01]: It was so great.
33:06 --> 33:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Mariners did so many good things late in that game.
33:09 --> 33:10 [SPEAKER_01]: They really did lock in.
33:11 --> 33:15 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and if you want to add some other defensive plays, Leo Revots is catcher earlier in the game too.
33:16 --> 33:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, nice play.
33:17 --> 33:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was really good.
33:19 --> 33:21 [SPEAKER_01]: There's a couple of leaping catches on the endfield.
33:22 --> 33:27 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think the one that I always think about wasn't a leaping catch, but again, cows play with the base is loaded.
33:28 --> 33:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
33:29 --> 33:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Ball out in front of home plate, instantly jumps on it before it goes foul, touch a song, throws first.
33:34 --> 33:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Perfect.
33:34 --> 33:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Again, these are the types of plays you need to win a game like this, intense game, one run game, tied it to, like this is the swing game, teams that go up three to two, when the series is tied to two, go on to win more often than not.
33:53 --> 34:01 [SPEAKER_01]: So, and also by the way, the team on the other side, the Dodgers, swept aside Milwaukee pretty easily, so they're going to get a decent amount of rest before the world series.
34:03 --> 34:11 [SPEAKER_01]: You know why I just want to add on some more rest themselves, winning one game, winning the next game will help that.
34:12 --> 34:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Right?
34:14 --> 34:15 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that's right.
34:17 --> 34:21 [SPEAKER_00]: You know what, you we just not talk about the Dodgers though for a little bit.
34:22 --> 34:26 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's like, number one, let's see the Mariners hopefully win one more game.
34:26 --> 34:28 [SPEAKER_00]: And if they do that, let's celebrate that.
34:29 --> 34:37 [SPEAKER_00]: And then worry about the Dodgers down, down the road in a few days, because they are, uh, uh, uh, uh, they are, uh, really what?
34:37 --> 34:37 [SPEAKER_01]: What did?
34:38 --> 34:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah.
34:40 --> 34:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I think Showhaotani had the greatest game, greatest postseason game of all time tonight.
34:46 --> 34:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Set a hot take.
34:48 --> 34:48 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it is.
34:49 --> 34:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think your takes hot.
34:50 --> 34:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think mine thought he's a great player to ever live.
34:53 --> 34:55 [SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, yeah, you're the Mariners.
34:56 --> 34:58 [SPEAKER_00]: He got to go win one of the next two in Toronto.
34:59 --> 35:02 [SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully it's game six and four game six Logan.
35:03 --> 35:05 [SPEAKER_00]: No, it wasn't your best starting game two.
35:06 --> 35:08 [SPEAKER_00]: You got another shot in that ballpark.
35:09 --> 35:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Take this city to the Promised Land.
35:13 --> 35:15 [SPEAKER_00]: Take this city to the
35:15 --> 35:17 [SPEAKER_01]: and he's going to have an extra day of rest, too.
35:18 --> 35:31 [SPEAKER_00]: And you want to talk about pressure and certain blue-jaz arms, once saying pressure is something you put in tires, you know it's going to be feeling pressure, tray, you savage.
35:31 --> 35:34 [SPEAKER_01]: We are six career start.
35:35 --> 35:35 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
35:36 --> 35:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Now we are not going to say anything because if TJ and I certainly TJ has learned anything this week, we are not going to sit here and say how the Mariners are heavily favored in any matchup at this point because that has done us wrong.
35:49 --> 35:53 [SPEAKER_00]: So instead, let's just say this.
35:53 --> 35:54 [SPEAKER_00]: Try a savage.
35:55 --> 35:56 [SPEAKER_00]: We know he's got good stuff.
35:56 --> 35:57 [SPEAKER_00]: We know he can pitch.
35:58 --> 36:00 [SPEAKER_00]: We also know the Mariners got to have a little bit in game two.
36:01 --> 36:05 [SPEAKER_00]: And we also know that he is making his six big leagues start ever.
36:06 --> 36:11 [SPEAKER_00]: So he doesn't have a ton of experience by the definition.
36:13 --> 36:16 [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of pressure on him on Sunday.
36:18 --> 36:20 [SPEAKER_01]: That crowd's gonna be rocking in the Roger Center.
36:20 --> 36:21 [SPEAKER_01]: They got a win too.
36:21 --> 36:24 [SPEAKER_01]: The pressure, the pressure is gonna be on the Blue Jays.
36:25 --> 36:33 [SPEAKER_01]: I want the Mariners to go out and attack like the pressure's on them, but if we're just gonna keep it on here, like the Blue Jays are gonna be feeling the pressure of that game.
36:34 --> 36:38 [SPEAKER_01]: And there's a chance that they could be without their second best hitter.
36:38 --> 36:45 [SPEAKER_01]: There's a chance, you were saying the MRI came back negative after the game for George Springer after you got hit on the knee.
36:46 --> 36:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Still doesn't guarantee he's going to be in the lineup because he still has to be able to run the first.
36:51 --> 37:00 [SPEAKER_00]: No, but I would be shocked if he wasn't because he's only he only has to de-age and You got to try and save your season on Sunday.
37:00 --> 37:02 [SPEAKER_00]: Look if he really can't get up there and hit then okay.
37:03 --> 37:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if I had to guess he's going to be in there.
37:05 --> 37:06 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:06 --> 37:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Now, so how good and how productive he's going to be.
37:09 --> 37:10 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but I bet you he's going to be in there.
37:12 --> 37:13 [SPEAKER_00]: No pressure Logan.
37:15 --> 37:19 [SPEAKER_00]: take this city to the Promised Land.
37:19 --> 37:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it.
37:20 --> 37:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it people.
37:21 --> 37:21 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
37:22 --> 37:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, again.
37:23 --> 37:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
37:25 --> 37:26 [SPEAKER_01]: I will give a note to people.
37:26 --> 37:30 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure yet as of recording if we're going to do a watch party.
37:30 --> 37:33 [SPEAKER_01]: If we do do one, pay attention to our socials.
37:33 --> 37:34 [SPEAKER_01]: That's where you'll see it.
37:34 --> 37:36 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so nothing going out here on the pod.
37:36 --> 37:38 [SPEAKER_00]: If we are doing one, we will post it everywhere.
37:39 --> 37:44 [SPEAKER_00]: But we'll say, speaking of our friends at the hall,
37:45 --> 37:46 [SPEAKER_00]: great scene.
37:46 --> 37:49 [SPEAKER_00]: There's a big outdoor patio out there.
37:49 --> 37:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's out there hanging out.
37:50 --> 37:51 [SPEAKER_00]: People couldn't be happier.
37:51 --> 37:52 [SPEAKER_00]: We're floating on air.
37:52 --> 37:53 [SPEAKER_00]: How fun?
37:53 --> 37:54 [UNKNOWN]: I know.
37:54 --> 37:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Bears garden is really fun.
37:55 --> 37:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I hope they break it out more.
37:57 --> 37:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Say, really do.
37:58 --> 38:00 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, before we wrap up.
38:00 --> 38:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Guys, we are so close to the 10 mark on YouTube.
38:04 --> 38:06 [SPEAKER_00]: So close, we're less than 300 away.
38:06 --> 38:20 [SPEAKER_00]: If you have not subscribed on YouTube, please go hit subscribe, and again, we've been people coming up to us now saying, 2K, 2K, 2K, we told people, we're not there yet, we're just not quite there yet, but we are so close.
38:21 --> 38:27 [SPEAKER_00]: So if you wanna see this video, again, we're not gonna send it to people, this video will be freaking out and game one of the ALDS.
38:28 --> 38:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the 10.
38:29 --> 38:34 [SPEAKER_00]: We are almost there and then come by to some person and say the word 2K, that's the key.
38:34 --> 38:39 [SPEAKER_00]: So if you've not hit subscribe on YouTube, we would greatly, greatly, greatly appreciate it.
38:40 --> 38:42 [SPEAKER_00]: If you just take a second and hit subscribe, we're almost there.
38:43 --> 38:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Almost?
38:44 --> 38:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
38:44 --> 38:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Just like the Mariners are almost to the world series.
38:46 --> 38:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
38:47 --> 38:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Two things that could be achieved theoretically by Sunday with enough effort.
38:51 --> 38:51 [SPEAKER_00]: This is true.
38:52 --> 38:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it would be poetic if on the day, they potentially clinch.
38:57 --> 38:57 [SPEAKER_00]: a certain thing.
38:58 --> 38:59 [SPEAKER_00]: That's the day we hit it.
39:00 --> 39:00 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
39:00 --> 39:02 [SPEAKER_01]: So we got broadcasted out everywhere.
39:02 --> 39:02 [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
39:03 --> 39:04 [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
39:04 --> 39:12 [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody rest, recoup, and lock in for game six, which will be, yes, the biggest game of every single one of our lives.
39:13 --> 39:15 [SPEAKER_00]: But that's thinking, because it's true.
39:16 --> 39:16 [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
39:17 --> 39:19 [SPEAKER_00]: That just about wraps up this edition of the Marine Lair of Podcasts.
39:19 --> 39:20 [SPEAKER_00]: You guys know the drill.
