00:43 --> 00:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Let's get it rolling!
00:58 --> 01:22 [SPEAKER_01]: And we welcome you to this episode of the Marine Lair podcast part of the just baseball podcast network recording here on Thursday evening January 29 Before we get into the mailbag there is some news in the Mariners world that is going to impact everybody and yes, I mean literally everybody we've got asked a ton of questions about this The Mariners now have a TV deal for the 2026 season.
01:22 --> 01:28 [SPEAKER_01]: It might look like something totally new but loyal if I'm going to put it out as simply as possible
01:28 --> 01:32 [SPEAKER_01]: The easiest way to think about this is that nothing has changed.
01:33 --> 02:02 [SPEAKER_00]: it really hasn't other than you're not gonna get really long pre game and post game stuff on root anymore that's about it because if you have cable nothing changes where you can still get the games on cable it's just that the channel will essentially be dark until the game start and then it goes dark afterwards so it's it's just dedicated to the mariners game if you still have cable you can still watch on cable they're just not gonna be a really long pre game post game show
02:02 --> 02:06 [SPEAKER_01]: It's just mariners, it just mariners TV is essentially what it is.
02:06 --> 02:18 [SPEAKER_01]: It will occupy the space that root sports what had once had the difference between root sports and this is that since root sports is a cable channel it is running programming 24 hours a day.
02:18 --> 02:19 [SPEAKER_01]: So they got to fill all of that.
02:20 --> 02:22 [SPEAKER_01]: But this is just Mariners broadcasts.
02:23 --> 02:23 [SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
02:24 --> 02:26 [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even think there's going to be any special features of this.
02:27 --> 02:34 [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a 162-marit or however many Mariners games that are going to be available through a local broadcast.
02:34 --> 02:52 [SPEAKER_00]: that you're going to buy the seasons worth and the deals great it's cheaper than it was last year well it's now it's a hundred dollars now so that's what i was going to get at is again if you have cable nothing changes because there's no additional fee you have to pay if you're on cable i think you can still get the games on cable you can still get the games on cable
02:52 --> 02:57 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're gonna announce the streaming and cable partners in the future.
02:57 --> 03:02 [SPEAKER_01]: They have not announced that yet, but out of sum, it's gonna be all the same ones.
03:02 --> 03:07 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming it's gonna be the same for Fubo and it's gonna be the same for X-Menity.
03:07 --> 03:09 [SPEAKER_01]: I could be wrong, but if I were to guess it'll probably be the same.
03:10 --> 03:15 [SPEAKER_00]: I just mean if you have cable, there's no extra premium you have to pay for Mariners baseball.
03:15 --> 03:19 [SPEAKER_01]: No, there's not, but some cable packages like if you're on the East Coast, you don't get Mariners games.
03:19 --> 03:25 [SPEAKER_00]: Sure, and in that case, what they're offering is for a hundred bucks a year, you could also do 20 bucks a month.
03:27 --> 03:29 [SPEAKER_00]: You can watch every Seattle Mariners baseball game.
03:29 --> 03:35 [SPEAKER_00]: So for a hundred bucks for the year, which is really if you pay the yearly subscription, it's $16 a month.
03:36 --> 03:38 [SPEAKER_00]: And you get to watch every Mariners game.
03:38 --> 03:45 [SPEAKER_00]: It's essentially like paying for MLB TV and you'd watch wherever you have MLB TV, except it's for the Mariners.
03:46 --> 03:51 [SPEAKER_01]: The difference here between MLB TV and this, though, is this is, like you said, team specific.
03:51 --> 03:59 [SPEAKER_01]: If you buy the MLB TV package, as you and I have the MLB TV package that with, through our phone carrier, we get free MLB TV.
04:00 --> 04:07 [SPEAKER_01]: But even if you have the fully decked out MLB TV package, you don't get Mariners games in market.
04:07 --> 04:08 [SPEAKER_01]: You would still be blacked out.
04:09 --> 04:11 [SPEAKER_01]: You would have to then essentially buy an add-on
04:11 --> 04:30 [SPEAKER_01]: for a hundred dollars for a year to watch Mariners games stream locally but if you do buy it it's great because you can stream the game from wherever you are you don't have to be sitting in front of your TV you pull up in the MLB app you're logged in and you're I don't know you're sitting in discovery park and you want to watch the Mariners game on your phone but you can just open the app and watch it then and there's no blackout
04:30 --> 04:33 [SPEAKER_01]: So it's it's a really good deal for everybody.
04:34 --> 04:47 [SPEAKER_01]: It's not as good for the mariners from a revenue perspective as we talked about Especially in those latter years of root a successful RSN as the Dodgers of Shode is much better than being under the MLB streaming umbrella
04:47 --> 04:54 [SPEAKER_01]: But it is at least something stable for them and it is something stable for fans, which is extremely important.
04:54 --> 05:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe most important because for everybody out there that is looking to watch Mariners games, which I know all of you are, it's pretty simple.
05:01 --> 05:08 [SPEAKER_00]: You pay a really fair rate, not gonna crush your pockets, and as a result, you got an easy way to watch all the Mariners games.
05:09 --> 05:11 [SPEAKER_00]: I think this is a win-win for every fan out there.
05:11 --> 05:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
05:11 --> 05:19 [SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm excited that they came out with that, and it gives people some time to plan for the subcoming season and how they plan on watching a lot of these Mariners games.
05:20 --> 05:30 [SPEAKER_01]: A reminder to everybody, number one, this is our last episode that comes out before fan faster rives, it's going to be a ton of fun at the ballpark, it is sold out both days.
05:30 --> 05:30 [SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
05:31 --> 05:34 [SPEAKER_01]: They've never done that by the way, fun fact, never sold out.
05:34 --> 05:36 [SPEAKER_01]: fan-fast on back-to-back days.
05:36 --> 05:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Low and I will be there both this.
05:38 --> 05:40 [SPEAKER_01]: So if you want to do something, send us a DM.
05:40 --> 05:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Combine us, we'll be Roman.
05:42 --> 05:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it should be great.
05:44 --> 05:45 [SPEAKER_01]: It should be a lot of fun.
05:45 --> 05:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Second reminder, trivia night, Wednesday, February 11th.
05:50 --> 05:52 [SPEAKER_01]: 7 p.m. Queen Ann Beerhall.
05:52 --> 05:53 [SPEAKER_01]: cumbersome fun.
05:53 --> 05:54 [SPEAKER_01]: We're planning it out right now.
05:54 --> 05:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I think we've got our subjects picked out.
05:56 --> 05:58 [SPEAKER_01]: We wanted to break it up into sections.
05:59 --> 06:01 [SPEAKER_01]: So we have some current trivia.
06:01 --> 06:03 [SPEAKER_01]: We have some older trivia.
06:03 --> 06:06 [SPEAKER_01]: And then, of course, we're going to put together a section for the ultimate price.
06:07 --> 06:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Right at the end.
06:08 --> 06:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's something you're going to want to come and show up for.
06:10 --> 06:12 [SPEAKER_01]: I promise you guys it'll be worth it.
06:12 --> 06:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's February 11th at Queen and Beer Hall 7 p.m.
06:15 --> 06:17 [SPEAKER_00]: There's gonna be plenty of prizes to give out.
06:17 --> 06:19 [SPEAKER_00]: So there's gonna be a lot of people that win things.
06:19 --> 06:22 [SPEAKER_00]: It's just that grand prize will be for that last section.
06:22 --> 06:23 [SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for this.
06:23 --> 06:25 [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna be really, really fun.
06:25 --> 06:31 [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're not doing anything on a Wednesday night which I would hope a lot of you are not, yeah, come enjoy it.
06:31 --> 06:32 [SPEAKER_00]: We would love to have you out.
06:32 --> 06:34 [SPEAKER_00]: We wanna see as many people out as we can possibly get.
06:35 --> 06:41 [SPEAKER_00]: And hey, if the Seahawks parade is that day, then just come on up right after, makes it pretty easy.
06:41 --> 06:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I hear partying all day is, makes you very thirsty, makes you very hungry, I feel like there's a pretty good solution to that, if you need something to fix up after that.
06:53 --> 07:00 [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see you guys, they are February 11th, 7 p.m. Queen and Bearhole, Marine Lair podcast, trivia night.
07:00 --> 07:05 [SPEAKER_01]: Before we get into this mailbag, or reminder to you guys if you want priority on mailbag questions.
07:05 --> 07:06 [SPEAKER_01]: How do you how do you do that?
07:06 --> 07:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Will you go to our Patreon, patreon.com slash marine layer pod?
07:09 --> 07:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Not only do you get priority with your mailbag questions, you get them answered every week if you have them.
07:14 --> 07:19 [SPEAKER_01]: You could access to ad free episodes and monthly video calls with Lala and I.
07:19 --> 07:28 [SPEAKER_01]: So all you need to do for that is go to patreon.com slash marine layer pod sign up and you get a whole bunch of free perks and more of us.
07:28 --> 07:29 [SPEAKER_01]: So who doesn't like that?
07:30 --> 07:33 [SPEAKER_01]: The first question on the male bag comes from Michael on Patreon.
07:33 --> 07:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Michael's question is, you guys have talked a little bit about the traffic jam caused by Rayleigh, Robless, Canzone, and Reft Snyder in the Outfield.
07:41 --> 07:46 [SPEAKER_01]: What do you think is the most likely scenario of where this crew ends up by the time the season starts?
07:48 --> 07:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I am a little surprised that it seems like they're going to roll with all four of these right fielders, because it does feel like a log jam.
07:55 --> 08:07 [SPEAKER_00]: But it feels to me that they are going to essentially put Tune, Cam Zone and Refts Night are at DH, and they'll put Tune, Rayleigh, and Robles and Right Field, and after those injuries they'll adjust on the fly.
08:07 --> 08:16 [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it seems like to me, because with four right fielders on the roster and trying to get playing time for all of them, it's not easy, but that seems like the most seamless way to do it.
08:17 --> 08:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Does it sound easier to you if you just refer them to as bats instead of right fielders because there it there is right now on the roster room now if you're to say at a quote name Redacted on to the roster see see see no dollar.
08:33 --> 08:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Did it know this time no dollars Then it would get a little trickier because don't of Just a count of my set is full name
08:43 --> 08:47 [SPEAKER_01]: I got like three quarters of the way through his last name.
08:47 --> 08:51 [SPEAKER_00]: The only way to decide that is to let the people comment and be the judge.
08:51 --> 08:51 [SPEAKER_00]: It's up to them.
08:52 --> 08:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
08:53 --> 08:54 [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
08:54 --> 08:55 [SPEAKER_01]: I apologize.
08:55 --> 08:58 [SPEAKER_01]: If name were acted were to play more out field.
08:59 --> 09:06 [SPEAKER_01]: That would make rostering all of these guys a little bit of a tougher task, but right now, I mean, you have your two guys at DH.
09:06 --> 09:15 [SPEAKER_01]: I let's let's just paint starters, right, let's start Victor Robless in right field and start Rob ref Snyder at DH.
09:15 --> 09:21 [SPEAKER_01]: That puts Dom can zone on the bench with Rayleigh Leo Reeves on the back of catcher.
09:22 --> 09:23 [SPEAKER_01]: I get fits.
09:23 --> 09:30 [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is that you have two bats with similar profiles on the bench.
09:30 --> 09:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what you just described is what the lineup will be against the lefty, because Robles and Refts Knight are de-aging means the lefties on the mound.
09:38 --> 09:41 [SPEAKER_00]: If there's a righty on the mound, you're going to see Rayleigh and Reight and you'll see Kanson de-aging.
09:42 --> 09:46 [SPEAKER_01]: There's a worry of it all that there's just too much repeatability.
09:46 --> 09:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Is that a right good word?
09:47 --> 09:50 [SPEAKER_01]: If you were to have that set up against the lefty.
09:52 --> 10:17 [SPEAKER_00]: not really because again aren't the left-handed bats going to sit anyway against the left-handed pitcher when you look at the right-fielders it's it's still two lefties and two righties I'm talking about more of like the stiffness of position I wouldn't say Rayley's a stiff but I get you know what I mean I mean Rayley's he can move around I don't think he should be playing much first base and with Josh Naylor there he's not going to be playing much first base
10:19 --> 10:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, again, this is why it's it's a little fascinating that all four of these guys are on the roster together, but you're going to have to make a work somehow unless one of them is part of a trade for eventually a name or acted or somebody else.
10:34 --> 10:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Based on the guys you have in your minor league system at this point, this is, I would say in this example, Colt Emerson is starting.
10:43 --> 10:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, think about this.
10:49 --> 11:00 [SPEAKER_01]: The roster layout I just described does not include Colt Emerson because there's no room on the bench for either Ben or Colt, right?
11:02 --> 11:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So that would assume Ben is starting in this scenario and there's no Colt.
11:06 --> 11:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and then what Emerson gets up they'll figure it out then either Williamson's not playing well.
11:11 --> 11:14 [SPEAKER_00]: He could go back to Triple A if one of the utility guys isn't playing well.
11:14 --> 11:15 [SPEAKER_00]: They could go back to Triple A.
11:16 --> 11:18 [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously when Colt Emerson's ready, he's getting a spot.
11:19 --> 11:20 [SPEAKER_00]: So they'll figure that out.
11:20 --> 11:24 [SPEAKER_01]: Do you think that bench is better than what they had in Demo last year?
11:27 --> 11:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Little less versatility, but again, do we really need to highlight what happened with Demo last year?
11:33 --> 11:35 [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm honestly even thinking about it at the start of the season.
11:35 --> 11:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Like how you thought the bench was entering opening day.
11:39 --> 11:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Because the bench entering opening day was... Was it Solano?
11:43 --> 11:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Demo?
11:49 --> 11:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Mitch Garver and...
11:52 --> 11:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Are you on to?
11:53 --> 11:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, or no, can't zone start in the miners last year.
11:56 --> 11:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Are you really making people relive last off season?
11:59 --> 12:00 [SPEAKER_00]: I was so rally.
12:01 --> 12:02 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just comparing benches.
12:02 --> 12:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, is the bench better?
12:04 --> 12:04 [SPEAKER_00]: Probably.
12:04 --> 12:06 [SPEAKER_01]: I lost your C-19 games.
12:06 --> 12:08 [SPEAKER_00]: This bench is probably a little better, yeah.
12:08 --> 12:10 [SPEAKER_00]: The refniter thing plays a big factor into that.
12:10 --> 12:15 [SPEAKER_01]: It does, but you also have to counterbalance with he's a platoon bat.
12:15 --> 12:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Therefore, you're going to need more bench players.
12:18 --> 12:18 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
12:18 --> 12:25 [SPEAKER_01]: There's still a potential neighbor-dacted trade to be made, which would make this situation in my opinion a whole lot clearer.
12:26 --> 12:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Next question comes from Zander on Patreon, Zander asks about.
12:30 --> 12:35 [SPEAKER_01]: One name we've not talked about that much this off season is Ryan Bliss and his potential impact on the team.
12:36 --> 12:40 [SPEAKER_01]: Can we see a spot where he and Reevaas platoon with young to start the year?
12:42 --> 12:43 [SPEAKER_00]: Love Ryan Bliss.
12:44 --> 12:46 [SPEAKER_00]: One of the easiest guys in the whole system to root for.
12:47 --> 12:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's gonna be tough for him to crack the opening day roster.
12:50 --> 12:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying Ryan Bliss can't.
12:52 --> 12:55 [SPEAKER_00]: have an impact on the Big League roster in 2026.
12:55 --> 13:03 [SPEAKER_00]: But for that to happen, it feels like it's going to have to be a bit of a can zone route, where can zone didn't have a spot to start last year.
13:03 --> 13:06 [SPEAKER_00]: He had to wait out his time in the minors.
13:07 --> 13:08 [SPEAKER_00]: He got a chance and he capitalized on it.
13:09 --> 13:18 [SPEAKER_00]: For Ryan Bliss, who's really only a second baseman to have a chance to make an impact on the roster, it feels like he's going to have to wait it out for a bit.
13:18 --> 13:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Earn his time, get up.
13:21 --> 13:24 [SPEAKER_00]: and then earn the right to stay.
13:25 --> 13:40 [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the only way he has a path onto this roster is number one injury to other Leo Revaster Colleung or he somehow learns to play another position and becomes an option.
13:40 --> 13:49 [SPEAKER_01]: But the only position I could even remotely sing and play and maybe this is just totally unrealistic is left field.
13:49 --> 13:51 [SPEAKER_01]: But the Mariners have a starting left field or so.
13:52 --> 13:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Then again, where is the playing time form?
13:55 --> 14:00 [SPEAKER_01]: I personally don't see it and you don't usually platoon with three guys.
14:01 --> 14:07 [SPEAKER_01]: That's just too much space for guys that you don't even feel like can bat against both sides of the plate.
14:07 --> 14:13 [SPEAKER_01]: That's, I would say that it's poor roster utilization if you're trying to win the most games.
14:14 --> 14:17 [SPEAKER_00]: think that's right, and it's pretty simply explained.
14:17 --> 14:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, I really like Ryan Bliss.
14:19 --> 14:21 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's anybody you could find that doesn't root for the guy.
14:22 --> 14:28 [SPEAKER_00]: But by roster crunching, it just feels hard to see away that he makes the opening day roster.
14:28 --> 14:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe he hits 500 in spring training, absolutely lights the world on fire.
14:32 --> 14:35 [SPEAKER_00]: He's tapped into power that nobody knew about and things change.
14:36 --> 14:39 [SPEAKER_00]: But more likely than not, he will have to earn his way this year.
14:40 --> 14:46 [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even thinking back to when we were having this conversation last off season about platoons,
14:47 --> 14:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Why we didn't like platoons because we felt like they were being less proactive.
14:52 --> 14:56 [SPEAKER_01]: And I think our rule going into last year was one platoon, one platoon allowed.
14:57 --> 15:02 [SPEAKER_01]: I'd say the same thing sort of applies and honestly the Mariners have for the most part.
15:03 --> 15:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, don't that.
15:04 --> 15:05 [SPEAKER_01]: They have one platoon.
15:05 --> 15:06 [SPEAKER_01]: I think the second base only.
15:07 --> 15:07 [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
15:07 --> 15:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Or two.
15:08 --> 15:09 [SPEAKER_02]: The second base right field.
15:10 --> 15:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Right field.
15:10 --> 15:15 [SPEAKER_02]: The H. Well, I got overly optimistic there.
15:17 --> 15:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the Mariners do love their platoons, don't they?
15:21 --> 15:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Simply put, the problem with platoons is you have a player starting in a position who you feel good in against half of the pitchers you face or depending on the handiness, whatever the percentage is, but you don't feel good with him against the other half.
15:39 --> 15:47 [SPEAKER_01]: And then you have that situation in another position and then another position.
15:48 --> 15:50 [SPEAKER_01]: But still not good enough to play every day.
15:50 --> 15:54 [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing about your starting lineup, you want us many everyday players in there as possible.
15:54 --> 15:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Colt Emerson, hopeful that he's an everyday player very soon.
15:58 --> 16:03 [SPEAKER_01]: JP Crawford, everyday player, Julio, everyday, Cal, everyday, Josh, Jr, everyday.
16:03 --> 16:04 [SPEAKER_01]: You get the point.
16:04 --> 16:06 [SPEAKER_01]: You see how much better those guys are.
16:06 --> 16:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, add Randy too.
16:07 --> 16:08 [SPEAKER_01]: Randy too.
16:08 --> 16:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
16:09 --> 16:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are just a step better because of what they can do against both sides of the plate.
16:15 --> 16:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Even if they are better against one, they're just not atrocious against the other.
16:19 --> 16:20 [SPEAKER_01]: So.
16:20 --> 16:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
16:21 --> 16:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Next question comes from Jordan, on Patreon.
16:25 --> 16:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Jordan's question is, I was listening to the refuse to lose podcast with our friend Brady and they had Joe Doyle on.
16:32 --> 16:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Joe said in 2027, there's a lockout that the player's association will fight for it to be a service here.
16:40 --> 16:44 [SPEAKER_01]: If that is so, are we worried about the position the mayor knows in?
16:44 --> 16:51 [SPEAKER_01]: The Mariners are in that they can't re-sign one of their arms this off season or extend them this off season.
16:52 --> 17:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and yes, I think the players are absolutely going to fight for that because their argument's going to be you locked us out we didn't say we don't want to play a season you guys told us we can't play a season so of course they're going to fight for that and in terms of extending mariners yeah, it makes me nervous because as every day goes by and makes it tougher and tougher to keep Logan Gilbert, which is not a fun thing to think about I don't want to think about a world where Logan Gilbert isn't in a mariners uniform, but
17:22 --> 17:24 [SPEAKER_00]: with this situation at hand.
17:24 --> 17:34 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if the players will win that argument or not, but this ultimately comes down to it is getting harder by the day to extend Logan Gilbert and
17:35 --> 17:53 [SPEAKER_00]: If there is a lockout and the players actually win that case, then yeah, I don't know how you get it done because if that's going to happen, and if the players and the players association have some sense that they can fight that battle and win it next winter, where they gain a year of service time back, and 2027 is essentially
17:55 --> 18:01 [SPEAKER_00]: just a year for them despite not playing, then Logan Gilbert maybe looking at 26 is this is essentially my walk here.
18:02 --> 18:06 [SPEAKER_00]: So it is, it's a hard path to walk, man.
18:06 --> 18:06 [SPEAKER_00]: It really is.
18:07 --> 18:08 [SPEAKER_01]: That terrifies me.
18:08 --> 18:11 [SPEAKER_01]: It puts the mirrors in such a bad position.
18:11 --> 18:14 [SPEAKER_01]: You don't even get the ability to trade him at the deadline.
18:14 --> 18:17 [SPEAKER_01]: If you're, for some reason, everything goes wrong.
18:17 --> 18:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone gets hurt and you stink, then you can flip Logan Gilbert at the deadline and at least gets something back
18:25 --> 18:31 [SPEAKER_01]: But this scenario, I mean, you're just going into a mystery on whether or not you're actually going to get your final year of Logan Gilbert.
18:32 --> 18:36 [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just Logan Gilbert, you get a year off of George Kirby, who you're worried that you can't sign.
18:37 --> 18:44 [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get another year off of Bryce Miller, who's going to become more expensive and Brian Wu the same case, and Louise Castillo.
18:44 --> 18:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that word is the crap out of me.
18:49 --> 18:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Have I ever mentioned how much I love Rob Manfred?
18:53 --> 18:54 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
18:54 --> 18:56 [SPEAKER_00]: No, I haven't got that up.
18:56 --> 18:57 [SPEAKER_00]: He's the best.
18:58 --> 19:00 [SPEAKER_00]: I honestly would crown him king of the world.
19:01 --> 19:06 [SPEAKER_01]: This is something I would put squarely in the camp of law of unintended consequences.
19:07 --> 19:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Now for the players, they know exactly what they're doing.
19:10 --> 19:17 [SPEAKER_01]: But for the owners, for the fans, for the GMs, I know Jerry and Justin, I'm not going to speak for them.
19:17 --> 19:23 [SPEAKER_01]: They work for the Mariners, they work for owners, they make a ton of money, they're very good at their job,
19:24 --> 19:28 [SPEAKER_01]: think they'd be very happy if they lost an entire year of service time for nothing?
19:29 --> 19:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Hell no.
19:31 --> 19:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
19:31 --> 19:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Which, especially because you're building this strategy off of them being a free agent in two seasons and you get two seasons out of this player.
19:40 --> 19:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Not hey, this player might be a free agent after this season.
19:44 --> 19:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Because then this off season potentially gets approached differently.
19:49 --> 19:50 [SPEAKER_01]: Look at the viewers.
19:51 --> 19:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, maybe they know that one Freddie Pearl does not gonna sign their long term.
19:56 --> 20:04 [SPEAKER_00]: And two, if they think this is really gonna be one year and not two, then sure, get two year value in a trade return for one year of service time.
20:05 --> 20:05 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
20:05 --> 20:09 [SPEAKER_00]: You're really gonna have to hope this lock out does not go all year next year.
20:09 --> 20:19 [SPEAKER_00]: You have to hope that they find some way to come to an agreement in an earlier period of time like they did in 2022, where you don't lose any games and spring training just starts a little late.
20:19 --> 20:26 [SPEAKER_00]: Or you do it in a way in which maybe you miss some games, but not all.
20:27 --> 20:28 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's hope so for our sake.
20:28 --> 20:30 [SPEAKER_01]: We need stuff to talk about.
20:31 --> 20:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, a lot of Moby the show next year.
20:33 --> 20:40 [SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be a lot of fantasizing about a fake team next year because we're going to be updating people on what the hell we're doing.
20:41 --> 20:45 [SPEAKER_01]: real M.O.B baseball games are very good for business, I will say.
20:46 --> 20:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Speaking just from an unbiased perspective.
20:48 --> 20:54 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, for everybody's business, yeah, for the Mariners, for the owners, for the players, for the fans, of course.
20:54 --> 21:00 [SPEAKER_00]: It did like the two of us are like at the very bottom of the totem pole with that, like sure, like we want games to be played.
21:00 --> 21:07 [SPEAKER_00]: We want to have things to talk about on the podcast, but there's so many bigger corporations that are gonna be affected from that, of course.
21:08 --> 21:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, my heart goes out to them.
21:10 --> 21:18 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, again, or I mean, for the best, he's going to self elect himself into Cooper's town, which is sad.
21:20 --> 21:21 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he can do that.
21:21 --> 21:23 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they should leave him out.
21:25 --> 21:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Next question comes from Pucci Delgado on Patreon and the question is, take me through a typical day in season, planning, ballpark logistics, where you most like to work, and ultimately when and where we record.
21:39 --> 21:40 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is good.
21:40 --> 21:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad people want some more behind the scenes.
21:42 --> 21:43 [SPEAKER_00]: Looks at things.
21:43 --> 21:44 [SPEAKER_00]: This is fun.
21:44 --> 21:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Do we want to do a day at the ballpark versus a day not at the ballpark?
21:50 --> 21:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Because they're different.
21:51 --> 21:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we could do both because a day not at the ballpark kind of looks like the offseason.
21:56 --> 22:03 [SPEAKER_01]: The difference between now and in season is we will center our topics around games and we will always carve out time to watch games.
22:03 --> 22:04 [SPEAKER_01]: Now we don't have to do that.
22:05 --> 22:06 [SPEAKER_01]: So we can, you know,
22:06 --> 22:22 [SPEAKER_01]: let's get like the offseason day out of the way offseason day is essentially sitting here and right now coming up with ideas for fan fest and doing a lot of editing like editing for
22:22 --> 22:41 [SPEAKER_01]: the podcast, planning out these mail bags, coming up with questions, doing a little bullpen banner stuff and right now, Lawnar doing a lot of sponsorship outreach, by the way, if you have a business and you're looking to get some good marketing outreach in the sports area in 2026.
22:42 --> 22:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Hit us up, Marine Lear.
22:43 --> 22:44 [SPEAKER_01]: audit.gmail.com.
22:44 --> 22:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Marine Lairpot at gmail.com or I was going to say if you know somebody that owns or runs a business and you think they would be interested in this type of partnership.
22:54 --> 22:55 [SPEAKER_00]: We are all ears, man, seriously.
22:56 --> 22:57 [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, TJ is right.
22:57 --> 22:59 [SPEAKER_00]: That is a lot of what the offseason could test of.
22:59 --> 23:09 [SPEAKER_00]: And if you want to talk about current events, we are planning a lot of trivia topics for our trivia night, which is again, two weeks, February 11th, 7 p.m. Queen and Beer Hall.
23:09 --> 23:12 [SPEAKER_00]: So we're making up all that trivia.
23:12 --> 23:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Like we're gonna come up with all the questions and answers.
23:14 --> 23:15 [SPEAKER_00]: So we're doing a lot of that.
23:15 --> 23:20 [SPEAKER_00]: Like TJ said, outreach, editing, show prep, topics,
23:21 --> 23:22 [SPEAKER_00]: I forget anything.
23:22 --> 23:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, running, if you hold kind of, it blends together.
23:25 --> 23:27 [SPEAKER_01]: There's not really like time stamps for the off season.
23:28 --> 23:31 [SPEAKER_01]: We, you know, we have to just, this is our lives, right?
23:31 --> 23:37 [SPEAKER_01]: So we, whenever we wake up, usually at a decent hour for me, it's 8 a.m. for Lyle.
23:37 --> 23:37 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot earlier.
23:38 --> 23:41 [SPEAKER_01]: I sit down here and I'm working.
23:41 --> 23:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever's on, you know, the top of my mind, Lyle has four hours on the radio, but otherwise, outside of a nap is doing this.
23:49 --> 23:52 [SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna say, I am not up at a decent hour.
23:52 --> 23:53 [SPEAKER_00]: You are up at a decent hour.
23:53 --> 23:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I also don't get a bad at a decent hour.
23:55 --> 23:56 [SPEAKER_00]: It's really bad.
23:57 --> 23:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, I wanna be transparent with people.
24:00 --> 24:03 [SPEAKER_00]: I wanna let people into more of our lives and do as much of that as we can this year.
24:04 --> 24:05 [SPEAKER_00]: My sleeves got just terrible.
24:05 --> 24:08 [SPEAKER_00]: It didn't use to be, but since I started on Brock and Salk,
24:08 --> 24:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, also running a couple of these channels like two different baseball brands with this with the podcast and bullpen banner.
24:15 --> 24:16 [SPEAKER_00]: My sleeve schedule is awful.
24:16 --> 24:20 [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's usually three or four hours night to sleep a week.
24:20 --> 24:32 [SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like I take a day nap and a night nap where I'm up till 1 a.m. trying to do all of our content stuff and all the things we just mentioned a minute ago about the things that take up our day.
24:32 --> 24:34 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to do all that.
24:34 --> 24:36 [SPEAKER_00]: and then that takes me up late into the night.
24:37 --> 24:45 [SPEAKER_00]: I'll essentially take my night nap, get up, get on the radio, come home, take my day nap, which can often be really long because I'm so sleep deprived, which could be like three hours.
24:46 --> 24:49 [SPEAKER_00]: And then, yeah, we sit and work.
24:49 --> 24:50 [SPEAKER_00]: Where do we work?
24:50 --> 24:53 [SPEAKER_00]: TJ and I both have desks that we sit and work at.
24:53 --> 24:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I will tell you that,
24:55 --> 25:04 [SPEAKER_00]: As time goes on, I definitely want a bigger desk, a desk that's more centered out toward having more of a content set up, more of a desk set up in time, that is definitely something I want.
25:04 --> 25:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one of those setups where you can get a couple of computers and obviously we've got our camera on our ring light, we might have more of that over time, but maybe if a TV on the desk to how people have enough TVs on their desk and then they have their monitors, yeah, in time I hope to have more stuff like that.
25:20 --> 25:28 [SPEAKER_01]: now in season in seasons a lot different because we're clearly like making our schedule around the mariners schedule day at the ballpark.
25:29 --> 25:39 [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll usually get to the ballpark like we'll do everything we just mentioned until probably for me it's usually about 1 o'clock because then you'll start getting ready for the ballpark.
25:39 --> 25:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Lown I arrive at the park at about 230 230 and if if you want more of a peak behind the curtains and
25:47 --> 25:51 [SPEAKER_00]: after Brock and Salk ends during the season.
25:51 --> 25:55 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't usually want to drive from Seattle.
25:55 --> 26:01 [SPEAKER_00]: all the way back to Kirkland and then back to Seattle throughout a day.
26:01 --> 26:04 [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll take a nap at the station during the day.
26:04 --> 26:07 [SPEAKER_00]: They have this little nap pod room at the radio station.
26:08 --> 26:14 [SPEAKER_00]: So I'll go up there and nap for a few hours during the day because again, that's just too much driving back and forth and no time to catch up on sleep.
26:15 --> 26:18 [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, anyway, I'm just trying to paint the full picture for people.
26:19 --> 26:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So we're usually the planning goes on throughout the week because the planning line I do now.
26:24 --> 26:27 [SPEAKER_01]: It's like we will have lots of evergreen mariners topics.
26:27 --> 26:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Usually our topics for the podcast are a little bit more evergreen these days.
26:31 --> 26:32 [SPEAKER_01]: Unless there are.
26:33 --> 26:41 [SPEAKER_01]: Specific things that pop up, but those things are usually more catered towards fans anyways So that stuff all gets prepped out throughout the week.
26:41 --> 26:42 [SPEAKER_01]: We have the schedule up.
26:42 --> 26:47 [SPEAKER_01]: We see Who's coming into town and our prep kind of splits into two different things if there are mariners things?
26:47 --> 26:48 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll prep on that, but we will do it.
26:48 --> 26:58 [SPEAKER_01]: It's been a lot of time doing Wolpen banner prep for the team that's coming into town because as I will describe in the day It's usually split into a couple of different sections
26:58 --> 27:19 [SPEAKER_01]: So we get to the park at 2.30, get down to the field that like around 2.45, 3 o'clock, Dan usually speaks at about 3 and then after Dan's done, they take in field and throughout this most of this time while they're on the field working out, we're not usually doing much, we're just sort of watching because they're working.
27:19 --> 27:25 [SPEAKER_01]: And then they start taking batting practice, that's usually when guys start to be a little more available.
27:25 --> 27:29 [SPEAKER_01]: So if we want to grab someone during the Mariners batting practice, that's sort of when we do that.
27:29 --> 27:34 [SPEAKER_01]: That takes place at 4-ish 344 clock.
27:35 --> 27:37 [SPEAKER_01]: This is for like a 640 first pitch, by the way.
27:38 --> 27:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Right, and some of the bullpen arms will come off earlier than that off the field.
27:42 --> 27:48 [SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes when the bullpen arms come through, we'll just talk to some of those guys naturally.
27:49 --> 27:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Or if we want to get them for some content, we'll ask them if they have some time.
27:52 --> 27:55 [SPEAKER_00]: And if they have time in their schedule, the guys will do it.
27:56 --> 28:06 [SPEAKER_00]: For the position players, like you mentioned, it's maybe when they start to grab their stuff, we'll ask them, hey, like, maybe when you're done hitting, do you have a minute, we can grab you.
28:07 --> 28:09 [SPEAKER_00]: It usually goes like that.
28:09 --> 28:15 [SPEAKER_00]: And then when they're done, they either get off the field, if there's someone we're gonna talk to, we'll do it after batting practice, that sort of thing.
28:16 --> 28:24 [SPEAKER_01]: So after batting practice is done, this is about 445, then the other team comes on to the field and will shift over to the other dugout and get over.
28:24 --> 28:25 [SPEAKER_01]: Bob and Ben are questions ready.
28:25 --> 28:30 [SPEAKER_01]: We usually have a more specific idea of who we're going to talk to that day.
28:30 --> 28:35 [SPEAKER_01]: And with the away team, since they're only there three games, we have to be a little bit more aggressive with them.
28:36 --> 28:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, like we have to get him or at least ask.
28:39 --> 28:42 [SPEAKER_01]: Not everyone's gonna say yes, but you have to at least ask.
28:42 --> 28:46 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, so we'll be a little bit more targeted there and that's most of the same thing.
28:46 --> 29:11 [SPEAKER_01]: We're just waiting for guys to be done Done taking ground balls or taking fly balls and if they're available, we'll grab them and get them on the mic there So that takes us up to about For a 640 first pitch about 540 for about an hour usually everyone's off the field with about an hour to go and then we'll you know go up to the press box Eat and then we will spend the rest of the game usually roaming around and talking to fans and
29:11 --> 29:14 [SPEAKER_01]: doing fan content and we live and go home and do it again.
29:14 --> 29:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
29:15 --> 29:26 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll watch some of it from the press box, but there is a lot that we do that involves going and talking to people because again, we want to be present for people.
29:26 --> 29:28 [SPEAKER_00]: We want to just have fun conversations with fans.
29:28 --> 29:29 [SPEAKER_00]: We do want to interview fans.
29:29 --> 29:32 [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, we will go do a lot of that.
29:32 --> 29:33 [SPEAKER_00]: during the game.
29:33 --> 29:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I would say usually we'll watch the first, I don't know, a couple innings, roughly, one to two innings from the press box and maybe we'll watch the final innings or two from the press box, just depending on the day.
29:45 --> 29:46 [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, tedious, right?
29:46 --> 29:55 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll spend a lot of time going and talk at a fans and interviewing fans, because for us it's a, it's a really important part of what we do and it's stuff that we want to be doing.
29:55 --> 29:56 [SPEAKER_00]: So, I
29:56 --> 30:01 [SPEAKER_00]: I would say, you know, throughout the game, that is what we're busy with.
30:01 --> 30:10 [SPEAKER_00]: And then, like you said, when the game ends, we'll go back to the card, we'll eat drive home, and when there's a game again, it's a similar schedule.
30:10 --> 30:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I will add, when the team has a day game,
30:13 --> 30:14 [SPEAKER_00]: It's much harder.
30:14 --> 30:19 [SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason we don't go to a ton of Sunday games, one because we have stuff to record after the game, usually on Sundays.
30:20 --> 30:25 [SPEAKER_00]: But two because when there's day games, there's usually not batting practice, almost never.
30:25 --> 30:34 [SPEAKER_00]: And when that happens, there's so few, there's so few are players on the field that it gives you a lot less chance for the sake of what we do to do content, do interviews.
30:35 --> 30:35 [SPEAKER_00]: See, it guys on the mic.
30:36 --> 30:41 [SPEAKER_00]: So usually when we go, we try to target night games as much as we can.
30:42 --> 30:47 [SPEAKER_01]: And then for spring training, I mean, the spring training schedule is pretty condensed.
30:47 --> 30:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
30:47 --> 30:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this is always the asking about spring training, too, because this is, yeah, what's the schedule for spring training?
30:52 --> 30:52 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
30:52 --> 30:54 [SPEAKER_01]: So we get there just pretty early in the morning.
30:54 --> 30:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Usually it about.
30:56 --> 30:56 [SPEAKER_01]: eight.
30:57 --> 30:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe seven.
30:57 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I'd say more like 7.
30:58 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_00]: 37.
30:58 --> 30:58 [SPEAKER_00]: 45.
30:58 --> 30:59 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
30:59 --> 31:01 [SPEAKER_01]: We're around then.
31:02 --> 31:09 [SPEAKER_01]: Then they will have the Mariners will have their workouts for essentially two hours, two to three hours.
31:10 --> 31:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Then sometimes there's a game.
31:11 --> 31:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes they're not.
31:12 --> 31:13 [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes there's an away game.
31:13 --> 31:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So there's an away game.
31:15 --> 31:17 [SPEAKER_01]: The guys will leave usually by like 11.30.
31:18 --> 31:18 [UNKNOWN]: Mm-hmm.
31:18 --> 31:20 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's that scenario.
31:20 --> 31:21 [SPEAKER_01]: It's a little bit harder to grab guys.
31:22 --> 31:24 [SPEAKER_01]: But for that, we just essentially hang out on the patio.
31:24 --> 31:32 [SPEAKER_01]: The mayor like the out on the neck and between the facility and the batting cages is where we essentially spend the entire time.
31:33 --> 31:37 [SPEAKER_00]: If you guys can picture the Mariners Spring Training facility where, you know, the big.
31:37 --> 31:50 [SPEAKER_00]: pavement is by all the fields and right near the bullpen, that's where we'll usually hang out and wait for players to come by because that's also where they enter an exit like where the doors are to the clubhouse and to the weight room and all that stuff.
31:50 --> 31:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Now I will say during the workouts,
31:54 --> 32:00 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll often walk around to some of the fields because we'll want to see what's going on and we'll watch some of the infield and we'll watch some of the batting practice.
32:00 --> 32:04 [SPEAKER_00]: But we do usually make sure we're on that patio area on the pavement area.
32:04 --> 32:10 [SPEAKER_00]: Once we get the sense of things starting to wrap up, because that's often when we'll try to grab guys for the day and we'll have some time to get on the mic.
32:12 --> 32:13 [SPEAKER_00]: And additionally,
32:14 --> 32:22 [SPEAKER_00]: When the team goes out on the road, like you mentioned, obviously time is often more limited, but the thing about spring training is the whole team doesn't always travel on the road.
32:23 --> 32:34 [SPEAKER_00]: There are a lot of the big league players where if there's a spring training game that day and they're not playing, they won't go, they'll just stay back and if they stay back, there's some guys that you might have a chance to catch later on as stragglers.
32:34 --> 32:50 [SPEAKER_00]: But I would also say in addition to all of that, as we wrap this part up, once the big leagueers are done for TJ and I say, one of the things we also love to do is not only interview some of the minor leagueers, but just get to talk to some of the minor leagueers, either get to know some of them that we've only gotten to know briefly, or
32:51 --> 33:11 [SPEAKER_00]: get to catch up with a lot of guys that we already do know decently well because we've been fortunate enough to connect with a lot of the minor leagueers so since spring training has everybody in one place that is our chance throughout the week we're usually there to do a lot of that so each day when the big league workouts wrap up we will usually go walk back to the minor league fields and spend some time out there watching those guys then talking to some of those guys.
33:12 --> 33:13 [SPEAKER_01]: That was a great question.
33:13 --> 33:16 [SPEAKER_01]: That was a very thorough answer.
33:16 --> 33:18 [SPEAKER_01]: There is a lot that goes into it.
33:18 --> 33:25 [SPEAKER_01]: If you'd ever like to know more, if you come and find us in person, it's probably a little bit easier than us just droning on on the podcast.
33:25 --> 33:26 [SPEAKER_01]: But really, thank you.
33:27 --> 33:31 [SPEAKER_01]: Glad we get to share a little bit of our lives and experience with this.
33:31 --> 33:32 [SPEAKER_00]: I think we highlighted that pretty well.
33:32 --> 33:37 [SPEAKER_00]: And if anybody has more specific questions on this stuff, if this is what you guys want to hear about, we are happy to talk about it.
33:38 --> 33:40 [SPEAKER_00]: And we're doing these mailboxes, as always, for you guys.
33:40 --> 33:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Because we want to answer your questions.
33:42 --> 33:44 [SPEAKER_00]: always fire away if you've got stuff.
33:44 --> 33:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Well you want to expand on something while you should expand on this next one.
33:47 --> 33:51 [SPEAKER_01]: Nick on Patreon asks, who would win in a cage match, Mirio?
33:52 --> 33:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Dude.
33:55 --> 33:56 [SPEAKER_00]: Here's the problem.
33:56 --> 33:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I could hurt anybody.
33:58 --> 33:59 [SPEAKER_00]: I really believe that.
33:59 --> 34:08 [SPEAKER_00]: It's funny because people that'll see me on the podcast or you'll see us on social media, you probably say to yourself, oh God, it doesn't take anything to get loud going.
34:08 --> 34:11 [SPEAKER_00]: He can get his pissed off and fired up as anybody I've ever seen.
34:11 --> 34:12 [SPEAKER_00]: That is true.
34:12 --> 34:16 [SPEAKER_00]: But it usually has to do with the Mariners when you see that stuff.
34:16 --> 34:21 [SPEAKER_00]: And even when that stuff happens, I'll be mad, but I never take it out on other people.
34:21 --> 34:25 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I have it in me to want to fight somebody.
34:25 --> 34:31 [SPEAKER_00]: So if TJ has slightly more drive to like throw a punch than I do, he probably win.
34:32 --> 34:37 [SPEAKER_01]: There is incentive, Nick says that the winner of this battle gets to inherit Rick Rizz's job.
34:39 --> 34:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Once upon a time, that was beyond both of our dreams.
34:42 --> 34:51 [SPEAKER_00]: TJ and I went to school, wanting to be Rick Riz, wanting to be play by play broadcasters, and our dream jobs were probably both to be a play by play broadcaster for the Mariners.
34:51 --> 34:57 [SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, it's still even a little enticing today, if I can guarantee you 41 years of employment.
34:57 --> 34:58 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's pretty cool.
34:59 --> 35:01 [SPEAKER_00]: And again, we did once dream about doing this job.
35:01 --> 35:10 [SPEAKER_00]: It's just, you know, our worlds have changed a little bit now, where I genuinely just love doing all this content stuff, both the podcasting and the social media stuff.
35:12 --> 35:15 [SPEAKER_01]: 41 years of staying in five star hotels in the road.
35:15 --> 35:16 [SPEAKER_00]: All right, that does sound pretty cool.
35:17 --> 35:19 [SPEAKER_00]: That's so cool.
35:19 --> 35:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Fine.
35:19 --> 35:25 [SPEAKER_00]: If that's what it takes, I'll apologize the next day, and I'm going to have a draw go on you.
35:26 --> 35:27 [SPEAKER_01]: So here, here's, I don't know.
35:27 --> 35:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, let me, let me stop right there.
35:29 --> 35:30 [SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not.
35:30 --> 35:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Because going, I've been drawing a lot, that you're gonna kill somebody.
35:34 --> 35:36 [SPEAKER_00]: So no, I don't plan to kill TJ in a cage match.
35:37 --> 35:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Here's how this, this match of breaks down, right?
35:40 --> 35:41 [SPEAKER_01]: So here's what I'll admit.
35:42 --> 35:44 [SPEAKER_01]: Lyle has every physical advantage on me possible.
35:45 --> 35:45 [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
35:47 --> 35:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Isn't there something to the theory that the low man wins?
35:50 --> 35:50 [SPEAKER_01]: There is.
35:52 --> 35:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Look at, look at full backs in the NFL.
35:55 --> 36:00 [SPEAKER_01]: That's the only advantage I feel like my center of gravity is lower than Lyles is.
36:01 --> 36:05 [SPEAKER_01]: So perhaps I could use that to my advantage in close quarters.
36:05 --> 36:12 [SPEAKER_01]: So if I were to get like Lyles on the ground and he can't use his length, then maybe have an advantage.
36:12 --> 36:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Because it is a cage match, there are no rules it sounds like.
36:16 --> 36:17 [SPEAKER_01]: It's just straight UFC.
36:18 --> 36:20 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, or maybe even beyond that.
36:21 --> 36:21 [SPEAKER_01]: WWE.
36:22 --> 36:22 [SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
36:23 --> 36:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
36:23 --> 36:26 [SPEAKER_01]: I'll jump off the top of the cage and people's elbow you and your jaw.
36:29 --> 36:34 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, people want to donate to a charity event where the two of us just fight in a cage match.
36:36 --> 36:41 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're going to start that, but if one of our great fans besides they want to start to go fund me, we ain't stopping anybody.
36:42 --> 36:44 [SPEAKER_00]: So do you have an official
36:46 --> 36:58 [SPEAKER_00]: If there was some incentive on the line, like what you mentioned, maybe I would find just enough to find a way to channel enough anger where I could find a way to win.
36:59 --> 37:02 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, back myself, as we should, stand or grab?
37:02 --> 37:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I don't, I mean, if you were to pick the other person, that's loser talk.
37:08 --> 37:09 [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, back yourself.
37:10 --> 37:11 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I ain't no loser.
37:11 --> 37:16 [SPEAKER_01]: No, except for the times we, uh,
37:19 --> 37:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm true.
37:20 --> 37:23 [SPEAKER_01]: We did something Mariners related where we call their self-slosers.
37:23 --> 37:23 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, is it?
37:23 --> 37:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I do it all the time.
37:24 --> 37:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, as Mariners fans, we will say we are losers.
37:28 --> 37:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, like when we said this year, we wanted to make the world that we would have been totally happy making the world series and getting swept by the Dodgers.
37:35 --> 37:36 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:36 --> 37:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, we'll say it all the time when we make statements like that.
37:38 --> 37:42 [SPEAKER_00]: I know that sounds like loser talk guys, but here's the thing, we are losers.
37:42 --> 37:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:42 --> 37:45 [SPEAKER_00]: So, what do you want from us?
37:46 --> 37:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was a good question.
37:48 --> 37:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for that question Nick.
37:49 --> 37:59 [SPEAKER_01]: Next question comes from Alex to more Alex on Patreon asked love the top 50 Mariners list of all time on the last pod Could you guys do your top five or ten?
37:59 --> 38:03 [SPEAKER_01]: I'll say five Mariners acquired via trade of all time.
38:04 --> 38:08 [SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking about this via trade.
38:08 --> 38:14 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean Honestly, in no particular order aren't Luis and Nail are probably two of them
38:14 --> 38:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
38:15 --> 38:15 [SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
38:16 --> 38:16 [SPEAKER_01]: I had them both down.
38:17 --> 38:17 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
38:17 --> 38:22 [SPEAKER_00]: So you'd have those two and then you'd have You'd have GNO too.
38:22 --> 38:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Probably yeah, the problem is until recently when the Mariners really started getting aggressive at the deadlines Honestly, maybe Randy's also in there because until they started getting really aggressive at the deadlines They haven't really blown people away at deadlines because for so long They were in this ridiculous losing rut and drought that they weren't going in acquiring awesome pieces in 2018 One of the few chances they had to really win they got Zach Duke Adam Warren and Cameron Mabin
38:52 --> 38:54 [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like they've had riveting deadlines.
38:54 --> 39:01 [SPEAKER_01]: It's funny you mentioned that losing rut, they'd in that time pull off one elite trade.
39:02 --> 39:05 [SPEAKER_00]: Cliffly, who lasted half a year.
39:05 --> 39:07 [SPEAKER_00]: See, I thought about him, but it's like, what impact did he have?
39:07 --> 39:08 [SPEAKER_00]: He was their half a year.
39:08 --> 39:09 [SPEAKER_00]: But he was great.
39:10 --> 39:10 [SPEAKER_01]: He was.
39:10 --> 39:13 [SPEAKER_01]: And I was going to say, in theory, if everything worked out, he got them.
39:13 --> 39:17 [SPEAKER_01]: Well, Justin smoke, but if Justin smoke was good,
39:17 --> 39:18 [SPEAKER_01]: great.
39:18 --> 39:20 [SPEAKER_01]: I put Cliff Lee on my honorable mentions.
39:20 --> 39:28 [SPEAKER_01]: My five was Josh Nailer, Gino, Randy, J. Beuner, what the hell do you trade J. Beuner for?
39:28 --> 39:29 [SPEAKER_01]: And the least cast you.
39:30 --> 39:31 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, see now you're catching on.
39:31 --> 39:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Now you're now you're picking up the line.
39:33 --> 39:34 [SPEAKER_00]: You've heard enough times now.
39:34 --> 39:35 [SPEAKER_00]: That is on me.
39:35 --> 39:36 [SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
39:36 --> 39:37 [SPEAKER_00]: I forgot about J. Beuner.
39:37 --> 39:38 [SPEAKER_00]: That is absolutely one.
39:38 --> 39:39 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
39:39 --> 39:39 [SPEAKER_00]: That's a good list.
39:40 --> 39:43 [SPEAKER_01]: The other two options I thought of Mike Cameron.
39:44 --> 39:45 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not a really good one.
39:45 --> 39:49 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even though they traded grippy, so that's why that gets bumped down to my honorable mention.
39:49 --> 39:52 [SPEAKER_01]: You the fact you have to trade grippy to get my Cameron.
39:52 --> 39:53 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
39:53 --> 40:02 [SPEAKER_01]: And then I also had Freddie Garcia on there, who, again, ironically, they traded Randy for oh my god, we're more ons.
40:03 --> 40:05 [SPEAKER_00]: We forgot the trade for Randy Johnson.
40:06 --> 40:07 [SPEAKER_01]: No, Randy was on there.
40:07 --> 40:10 [SPEAKER_01]: You said Randy or do you mean Randy arose a rena?
40:11 --> 40:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was thinking it was a range of, like, originally.
40:14 --> 40:15 [SPEAKER_00]: I thought you meant Randy Johnson.
40:15 --> 40:18 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's really dumb on my part.
40:18 --> 40:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Randy Johnson's on the list.
40:19 --> 40:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Take, take a rosary off.
40:21 --> 40:21 [SPEAKER_00]: There's only one Randy.
40:22 --> 40:22 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
40:23 --> 40:24 [SPEAKER_00]: I, I really blanked on that for a second.
40:24 --> 40:27 [SPEAKER_00]: My mind must have been real stuck on present day mariners.
40:27 --> 40:37 [SPEAKER_00]: Cause again, in the last 25 years, they, they don't make, like, serious trades, sand the last three trade deadlines, or I guess four if you go back to Castillo where they really started getting serious about it.
40:38 --> 40:40 [SPEAKER_01]: This is where you cue the sad music you can say.
40:41 --> 40:44 [SPEAKER_02]: You know who should be on this list.
40:44 --> 40:45 [SPEAKER_00]: Cal Tucker.
40:45 --> 40:46 [SPEAKER_02]: Nice struggle to bring up.
40:47 --> 40:47 [SPEAKER_02]: No.
40:47 --> 40:48 [SPEAKER_02]: I struggled to bring this name up.
40:49 --> 40:51 [SPEAKER_02]: Just it just hurts so much.
40:54 --> 40:55 [SPEAKER_02]: Jared.
40:56 --> 40:57 [SPEAKER_00]: Cal Nick.
40:58 --> 40:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
40:58 --> 41:00 [SPEAKER_00]: I know that's a shot to the heart every time we bring him up.
41:00 --> 41:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Especially my heart.
41:01 --> 41:02 [SPEAKER_01]: He should be on here.
41:02 --> 41:04 [SPEAKER_00]: He should be.
41:05 --> 41:08 [SPEAKER_00]: He should have like three all star appearances by now.
41:09 --> 41:10 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
41:11 --> 41:40 [SPEAKER_01]: maybe in the uh... for his sake maybe he makes the uh... mpb all star game or another life he's in all star uh... maybe totally possible okay that was a good question last one to wrap it up Tommy on instagram ask asks can you guys go over spring train for first timeers things to do must see ball parks restaurants and tips or tricks did somebody of a fan bang did somebody of a fan fast question two for this
41:40 --> 41:41 [SPEAKER_00]: There's no fan fast questions.
41:41 --> 41:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, no, I don't think so.
41:43 --> 41:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, other than just we'll be a fan fast.
41:44 --> 41:46 [SPEAKER_00]: So, come find us like we mentioned.
41:47 --> 41:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Here is the biggest thing I can say about spring training.
41:49 --> 41:51 [SPEAKER_00]: And honestly, I don't think I did this as a kid.
41:52 --> 41:54 [SPEAKER_00]: The couple times that my family went to spring training.
41:54 --> 41:55 [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we just didn't know about it.
41:56 --> 42:05 [SPEAKER_00]: If you are under the assumption that by going to spring training, you should just show up at the spring training games, and then that's your day, and you go do other things across Arizona afterwards.
42:06 --> 42:07 [SPEAKER_00]: You're wrong.
42:07 --> 42:08 [SPEAKER_00]: You're doing it wrong.
42:08 --> 42:14 [SPEAKER_00]: Most people probably know this by now, but show up well before the games.
42:14 --> 42:16 [SPEAKER_00]: You don't show up at the stadium before the game.
42:16 --> 42:22 [SPEAKER_00]: You go to the Mariners complex and their backfields, and you go hang out and watch all the players work out.
42:23 --> 42:25 [SPEAKER_00]: That is what's going on all throughout the morning.
42:25 --> 42:33 [SPEAKER_00]: That is your best chance to get autographs, that's your best chance to get photos, that's your best chance to get up close with the players, because often they'll stop and they'll sign, and they might talk for a minute.
42:35 --> 42:40 [SPEAKER_00]: It could often be a decent scrum, like when Julio runs by, I mean, it's a madhouse every single time.
42:40 --> 42:41 [SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
42:41 --> 42:53 [SPEAKER_00]: It's stuff you don't usually get to see you get to be as close up as about you possibly can to these players doing their workouts on a daily basis where it's very laid back.
42:54 --> 42:55 [SPEAKER_00]: It's very fun.
42:55 --> 42:58 [SPEAKER_00]: Again, you get to be really close to the bullpens and to the batting practice.
42:59 --> 43:07 [SPEAKER_00]: Show up before those games, hour or two early, probably two hours early, go to the back fields and watch the workouts at the complex.
43:07 --> 43:12 [SPEAKER_01]: The games are usually at one, they open the backfields at 10, I want to say, 10 again.
43:12 --> 43:13 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
43:13 --> 43:15 [SPEAKER_00]: And here's, and here's a key about the backfields.
43:16 --> 43:21 [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously the big league backfields with the big league players working out on them are the really popular ones.
43:21 --> 43:27 [SPEAKER_00]: And, and to get cows autographed for who he goes autographed, there's going to be a huge scrum for it.
43:27 --> 43:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, however,
43:30 --> 43:48 [SPEAKER_01]: The biggest thing I would suggest, walk back to those backfields, similar how teeth are, walk back to the backfields on the very, very back meeting, meaning when you walk in the facility, instead of turning left towards the big leaders, because that's where the big league fields are, closest to the facility, while means walk right away from the facility.
43:48 --> 43:58 [SPEAKER_00]: to the back towards those backfields because back there are where a bunch of the prospects are and that is as open as you can possibly draw it up.
43:58 --> 44:02 [SPEAKER_00]: The big league complex fields, there are some fences that are gated up for the fans.
44:02 --> 44:11 [SPEAKER_00]: They're like waste highs so you still get to see everything really well but they're gated so you can't get insanely close to the players and players
44:11 --> 44:13 [SPEAKER_00]: being blocked by fans, etc.
44:13 --> 44:31 [SPEAKER_00]: On those backfields, not only is there not a gated area, you can go right up to that fence and go right up to the players when they walk off the field because they have to walk back through the, you know, outdoor complex to get back to the facility, but there's so few people that spend a lot of time out there.
44:32 --> 44:40 [SPEAKER_00]: If you go back to those backfields with the minor leagueers, and there's maybe a handful of fans that'll roam around back there,
44:42 --> 44:43 [SPEAKER_00]: throw out a name.
44:43 --> 44:44 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what's a good name?
44:44 --> 44:48 [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, if you wanted to get K to Anderson's autograph, if he's not in Big League camp,
44:49 --> 44:50 [SPEAKER_00]: You're probably going to have a pretty good chance to do it.
44:50 --> 44:56 [SPEAKER_00]: If you wanted to stop and take a picture with them, there are not going to be a hundred fans crowding Kate Anderson.
44:56 --> 45:00 [SPEAKER_00]: There will be a hundred fans crowding Kalin Julio, but not Kate Anderson.
45:00 --> 45:07 [SPEAKER_00]: So you might get a real chance back there to not only get some one-on-one time with some prospects, but you might get to talk to them.
45:07 --> 45:11 [SPEAKER_00]: They might stop and have a conversation with you, because they're not getting swarmed like the big leakers are.
45:12 --> 45:13 [SPEAKER_00]: You can make some real memories back there.
45:13 --> 45:16 [SPEAKER_00]: If you were to get a photo with a big time prospect,
45:17 --> 45:22 [SPEAKER_00]: or even a prospect who's not big time and is being slept on right now, who eventually makes it, you're gonna have that memory forever.
45:22 --> 45:28 [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna think to yourself, oh, I got to have a real conversation with this guy, way before he was anything special.
45:29 --> 45:32 [SPEAKER_00]: I would spend time at those backfields if I were you before the games.
45:33 --> 45:38 [SPEAKER_01]: And it's a lot easier to do it in their prospects than when they turn into what Calen Julio are.
45:38 --> 45:43 [SPEAKER_01]: Because then you're at the mercy of who they decide to sign for or talk to.
45:44 --> 45:45 [SPEAKER_01]: They're just busy.
45:45 --> 45:51 [SPEAKER_01]: But if Kate Anderson turns into a star in three years, this will be your best opportunity to talk to them.
45:51 --> 45:55 [SPEAKER_01]: So that it's a very underutilized part of spring training.
45:55 --> 45:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Some of you might know that.
45:56 --> 45:59 [SPEAKER_01]: But some of you might go up to Cal and Julio.
45:59 --> 46:01 [SPEAKER_01]: But hey, Cal and Julio have to work out.
46:01 --> 46:03 [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe while they're working out on the field, you know they'll be there.
46:04 --> 46:08 [SPEAKER_01]: You can go take a detour to the back and you can go see some of those other players.
46:08 --> 46:10 [SPEAKER_01]: So that's, I would say that's the Mariners facility.
46:11 --> 46:12 [SPEAKER_01]: Mariners facility is great.
46:12 --> 46:13 [SPEAKER_01]: What about law ball parks?
46:14 --> 46:15 [SPEAKER_01]: What are their ball parks would you recommend?
46:16 --> 46:17 [SPEAKER_01]: I like the pure sports complex.
46:18 --> 46:23 [SPEAKER_01]: I do think it is a little plain in terms of the facilities.
46:23 --> 46:25 [SPEAKER_01]: I have some other favorites, but what about yours?
46:25 --> 46:38 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you were to go see some other games and spring training, where you weren't going to go see the Mariners, or you might want to see the Mariners go play at some road parks, which in Arizona and in the Valley is not really going on the road, everything's within 45 minutes of each other.
46:39 --> 46:46 [SPEAKER_00]: Sloan Park where the Cubs play, very cool, salt river fields and Scottsdale where the Diamondbacks and the Rockies play very cool.
46:47 --> 46:49 [SPEAKER_00]: Those are the two that are always at the top of my list.
46:50 --> 46:53 [SPEAKER_01]: And those are a little closer to things.
46:54 --> 46:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Peoria is out there, oh.
46:56 --> 47:01 [SPEAKER_01]: Unless you need something in Peoria, Peoria is what?
47:01 --> 47:04 [SPEAKER_01]: I want to say 30 miles from Phoenix.
47:04 --> 47:07 [SPEAKER_00]: As TJ puts it every year when we're there, Peoria is on the moon.
47:08 --> 47:09 [SPEAKER_00]: It's like driving to ever.
47:10 --> 47:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Like, do you want to drive to Everett every day to go see the CD Aqua Sox who love going to Everett, but it's it's just not close at all.
47:19 --> 47:22 [SPEAKER_01]: So unless you have something specifically in Peoria, it is a little bit out there.
47:22 --> 47:24 [SPEAKER_01]: I love the Dodger Stadium.
47:25 --> 47:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Also kind of out there, not as far, but still decently out there.
47:29 --> 47:32 [SPEAKER_01]: I would say the best ball parks.
47:32 --> 47:38 [SPEAKER_01]: to go to that are not number one nice but number two around a multitude of things.
47:38 --> 47:45 [SPEAKER_01]: You have the solar field, as you said, Sloan Park with the Cubs in Mesa and then the Giants Park in Scottsdale.
47:45 --> 47:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Giants Park is walking distance from
47:49 --> 48:09 [SPEAKER_01]: are close to walking distance from like old town Scottsdale right so there are things to do there's the only park actually in phoenix i think is the borrower's but it's not even really close to downtown so don't don't go to the borrower's facility Maryville is not like that nice area no I would go to yeah the parks we mentioned and if you want to explore cities
48:09 --> 48:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Tempy and Scottsdale are the two.
48:11 --> 48:22 [SPEAKER_00]: We obviously love Tempy, especially if you're around our age, there's plenty to do in Tempy and on Mill Avenue, which is the big ASU bar scene, but during the day, they're all just restaurants and shops and things like that.
48:23 --> 48:29 [SPEAKER_00]: So definitely go check out some places in Scottsdale, specifically Old Town Scottsdale.
48:30 --> 48:36 [SPEAKER_00]: go check out Tempe, if you're there really early, like when pictures and catchers are reporting, there's the waste management open.
48:36 --> 48:42 [SPEAKER_00]: There's top golf, there's so many things to do in Arizona.
48:43 --> 48:43 [SPEAKER_00]: I would say.
48:44 --> 48:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's no short of things and it's warm.
48:47 --> 49:02 [SPEAKER_00]: So enjoy the pool really warm definitely enjoy the pool The two food places I would recommend I mean if we were to go down a list of food places in Arizona We'd run out of time for you, but if you're gonna be in PRA which I'm guessing any of you that are gonna be going down to spring training will be because you're there to stay the mariners
49:02 --> 49:17 [SPEAKER_00]: The two places I would recommend, and we would recommend, are Leo's island barbecue, which is not that much of a well-kept secret anymore, because Mariners fans know about it extremely well at this point, shout out to Ryan Davis for that.
49:17 --> 49:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Go to Leo's island barbecue, you will not disappoint and go with an empty stomach, because it is, it's a ton of food for me, and I can eat anything.
49:25 --> 49:28 [SPEAKER_00]: So, believe me, you will, you are.
49:28 --> 49:31 [SPEAKER_00]: you are missing out and not doing the trip justice.
49:31 --> 49:34 [SPEAKER_00]: If you go to Pioria and don't go to Leo's Island barbecue, please go.
49:34 --> 49:40 [SPEAKER_00]: The other place that I would recommend, which they have in multiple locations, but they have one in Pioria, hash kitchen.
49:41 --> 49:42 [SPEAKER_00]: Really good.
49:42 --> 49:44 [SPEAKER_01]: hash kitchen was really yummy when we went last time.
49:46 --> 49:48 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, excited to go down there and eat.
49:48 --> 49:49 [SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait for Leo's.
49:49 --> 49:53 [SPEAKER_01]: I'm already like when I tell you it's like, it is the perfect like carb meal.
49:54 --> 49:55 [SPEAKER_01]: It is the perfect carb meal.
49:55 --> 49:56 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm heart.
49:56 --> 49:57 [SPEAKER_00]: I'm already thinking about it.
49:57 --> 50:00 [SPEAKER_00]: TJ and I usually get it twice on our trip.
50:01 --> 50:03 [SPEAKER_00]: We usually get it toward the beginning and toward the end.
50:03 --> 50:05 [SPEAKER_00]: We'll mix in some other restaurants throughout our trip, too.
50:05 --> 50:06 [SPEAKER_00]: We usually like to get in and out.
50:06 --> 50:08 [SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple other restaurants we really like.
50:08 --> 50:12 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if you're somebody likes pizza,
50:12 --> 50:30 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then this year we're actually smart enough to rent a car, so we'll have a little bit more flexibility I mean, I mean, I'm gonna guess we'll actually spend some time in tempi this year because we love tempi in the last couple of years It's been nowhere close, so we have not a chance, but yeah, we can definitely go around a little bit more this time Yeah, hope so
50:31 --> 50:32 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, good mailbag.
50:32 --> 50:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's good.
50:33 --> 50:33 [SPEAKER_00]: Always fun.
50:34 --> 50:37 [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm, again, now just thinking nonstop about Leo's Island Barbecue because I can't wait.
50:38 --> 50:39 [SPEAKER_00]: But good stuff.
50:39 --> 50:40 [SPEAKER_00]: We always appreciate the questions.
